Beautiful trails and falls. There are lots of options for walking around. If you want to visit the falls first, better to take an Hilton falls trail( yellow one). If you are looking for a longer walk and having a view of pond, better to take the Red Oak trail ( red one). Be aware if you are with toddlers, stroller or seniors, the first 30M of all three main trails are rocky till point HF01. So if you are looking for easy and flat trail accept this 30M or go for another ramp that they made for stroller ( check the map). All part of Halton trail( yellow one) is shaded by trees and have an overlap with Red Oak trail( red one). With your limited time (3hours reservation) you can go through yellow and red line. There are some stairs to the falls and there are benches and fireplace ( probably for winter) near the falls. Bring your own water. Otherwise there is a soft drink vending kiosk next to visitors centre. Washrooms are available near the parking lot. ( they are clean with hand wash and sanitizer and changing dipper table) there are some in trails too( not really clean but acceptable). Reservation is required. Admission fee is: Adult: 9.75$ Senior: 7.75$ Child( 5to14) : 6.75$ DONOT FORGET Mosquitoes repellent.

Update: Jan 21, 2023, Waterfall had some water so this experience was a bit different than the last. It was fun walk and the Yellow Trail was not treacherous. The fire pit was fun. For hiking would have given 5 Star but for the waterfall, meh, giving the 4 Star. Reservation is a must due to the pandemic and it is better that way. Bike riders can take trails but may have to carry the bike on the certain stretches but not bad. Ample places to stop and enjoy the scenery and relax before continuing. Didn't see many birds for some reason only a few Squirrels. The Waterfall was disappointing because it was barely any water there and whatever was oozing out was from the rocks and not the actual falls, mainly due to the dam at the reservoir. Multiple ways to hike there, just choose whichever one you like on the map and keep on coloured arrows indicating the way. A historical site, so you may stop on the way on trails to read through information signs to get to know who used to own the land, the sawmill, and related info, very interesting. Part of the mill ruins is still there, the arched gateway right beside the waterfall where they used to use the water flow to power the sawmill.

BE PREPARED FOR THE MOSQUITOES!!!! Be prepared and definitely you will enjoy this beautiful, amazing God's nature!!! Nice beautiful nature and walking trails. Beautiful falls. You can go behind it, beautiful experience . The quality of the air near the falls is amazing. But get ready for getting wet. Come wearing long pants, tuck the edge of the pants under the socks. Long shirt, hat. We apply mosquitoes repellent but it didn't help. There is an area for parking the cars beside one of the entrances of the woods. It can fit 6-8 cars only. You don't need to pay any fees to park the car and no reservations is needed. The only thing is be early in the morning to guarantee getting a spot. I was around 7:40 a.m. When we start the walk from this entrance, we didn't see any signs that help lead us to the falls, so we used the App Google Earth that help us find the location of the falls. So I highly recommend using it too if you want to be able to reach the falls easily. I am not sure if we used the main entrance, would there be clear signs leading from the falls?

We purchased a ticket at the conservation area at the front gate and he charged $20 for the car. There is a large parking lot. There is a building at the front with washrooms. And a map showing the 4 trails and also bike trails. We did the Hilton falls trail- yellow coded. I like the trails are clearly marked. The falls are about 45 minutes away. The trail is wide and you will encounter an uphill rocky area. Not suited for wheelchairs, strollers or people with mobility issues. The trail gets flat after that but it can be rocky in areas. More suited for mountain bikes which was what we saw. Half way to the falls there is a port-a potty and a bench. The only bench you will see until the falls. The mosquitos were out that day. You will need repellent. There is a beaver lookout. When you reach the falls you will see a pile of wood and some people at a fire pit. It was a nice walk to the falls and some people were climbing on the rocks and getting into the water for pictures. I didnāt get into the water. Looked slippery. Next time I would like to try a different trail.

This a great all seasons hike. Well, you might want to avoid going during spring melt or after heavy rains as it can get very muddy. But the main trails are wide access roads and very well groomed. In winter, they even have ski trails. I love the walk to the falls where they have a roaring fire to welcome you. A good spot for lunch and to pull out your thermose of hot chocolate. You could even cook up some hot dogs or marshmallows. After the falls there are several other trails to explore. The beaver dam trail is popular and still on my to do list. I opted to take the Bruce side trails, these take you deep into the woods, sometimes rocky and with decent elevations. Reservations are required and you pay per participant. For two people, it is basically the price of paying of parking in Toronto. The entrance goes towards the maintenance of this beautiful conservation area. For the price of admission you get three hours of hiking or hanging out - not sure if the time limit is because of COVID but they do offset start times to prevent overcrowding.
