New Brunswick Aviation Museum — Attraction in Miramichi

We met Jodi at the gate and he directed us to the museum hangar. We were given a very nice and informative tour of the museum artifacts by a summer student who was very knowledgeable on the history of the BCATP role of Chatham, the Cold War era, and the people who made Chatham function. My son-in-law, who was born in Chatham, and my two grandsons, really enjoyed the tour and the simulator time. A great start for a young museum. One large room showcases three planes and a decent amount of memorabilia. My kids really enjoyed the flight simulators and the presentations by the staff. Right now it will take you about an hour if you spend some time on the computers. They also have some nice items for sale so they can earn more money to improve...

Alot of really interesting items, very knowledgable staff. Flight sim is a great bonus piece too. I would definitely recommend especially for teaching children about our aviation history. Pretty cool that you can get right inside one of the planes as well. Any air cadet squad leaders across the maritimes should consider this as a field trip...
