Thereās a great amount of space in this dog park. It features a wooded area, agility section, small dogs / puppies section, and of course a general off leash area with park benches & seasonal water. This space is great for those who have medium to large sized dogs with positive social skills.
I deducted two stars because of the Small Dog Area. To be honest, Iāve been in Tim Hortons larger than the area provided for small dogs at this park. The Small Dog Area should be called the Dog Area thatās Small. Itās quite tight and doesnāt leave much room for a dog to freely run. For reference, itās a lot less than half of the area at Jack Darlingās Small Dog Park. I personally havenāt seen other small dogs in the area when I visited, so it wasnāt an optimal place for my small dog to socialize.
I also deducted two stars because certain areas were littered with a lot of poop & some dogs have shown aggression. While this isnāt at fault to the park, itās just a warning for those that visit that sometimes owners here arenāt as vigilant with picking up after their dog or making sure their dog is positively interacting with others.
All in all a great dog park for medium to large dogs with lots of energy. There are plenty of dogs of all sizes in the general dog area. The small dog area sucks and not a lot of dogs go there. Be cautious of aggressive dogs and only bring your dog if they enjoy the company and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy dog LOVES this park. Is always so excited when we pull in to play with other dogs, and run around. Muddy in the spring but has gotten beautifully grassy and shady within the summer months. The only downfall is it seems many owners with poorly socialized dogs come here.
If your dog is growling, snarling and running another dog off aggressively. Correct your dog immediately. As soon as they have learnt that aggression is okay, it is hard to untrain when it could just be prevented.
Itās not fair for a dog who is properly socialized to be ran off and snarled at, for any reason. Correct your dog or donāt bring them. It ruins everyone elseās experience. Take them to a trail or elsewhere. My dog who has been trained, is becoming scared from the amount of times heās been chased off aggressively, while the owners do nothing. I donāt frequent here either, but the last 6 times iāve been this month, every time has had an interaction with an aggressive dog.
My dog is an American bulldog/bully mix, who looks like a pitbull but isnāt, and is the sweetest guy who never barks, growls or chases down a dog making them scared. If he did it would be corrected immediately. If my dog defended himself, the dog fight ending would be blamed on me for my dog standing up for himself when the OWNER isnāt.
Correct your dogs. Besides this,...

I went in the morning on Sept 30 and this one person could not control his Brown Doberman and the Doberman came to attack my dogs. This person could not control his dog. I grabbed my small dog, the doberman was jumping on me. He flipped and went to attack my other small dog, my heart dropped, seeing this giant dog towering over him; the owner leashed him before any disaster took place. All of this happened within 5 minutes of entering the main park area, and we quickly moved into the enclosed area, after the incident.
The man left shortly after. He comes in a red chrysler CELR 455.
There were two other large dogs, minding their own business. Thatās training! They touched noses with my babies, played & left.
The ownerās response was it is a leash free park, however, if you know your doberman is unpredictable and can be reactive, why are you at the park! It could be any dog & this doberman dog was uncontrollable. The owner even said he comes in the morning as itās empty, so he knows his dog.
While dogs can have a spat, after all they have their own personalities & boundaries, you should be able to...
