Edit: in. Response to owners response: I thank you for the answer! I will say that the hike was beautiful, and all the staff were extremely friendly..it’s unfortunate that the public does not respect measures due to covid...with that said, it’s important that people know what they are getting into with measures not being respected. If you’re ok with this then by all means, it’s a beautiful place to go..if you’re not, then I would recommend waiting to visit when covid has died down...
It was beautiful...however, too many people and no one was respecting social distancing at ALL...there were a lot of young kids in the trails and elderly hikers and they were not being respected at all...other hikers were crowding them to pass them...it’s really sad that they cannot give people who maybe move a bit slower time to get to a spot where they can safely pass...they have the trail set where you are supposed to only go one way, but nothing is being monitored and there were constantly people going in the wrong direction which made it more complicated to stay at a distance. I would not recommend going if you want to be socially distant from the public as no regulations are...
Read moreA short yet not a super easy trail. We did a full loop up to the top and downvia the green and the blue trails. That way we had a less steep climb via the green trail, and although steeper, the way downhill, via the blue trail, wasn't too bad since most of the way was made into some sort of steps using wooden bars and there are some actual staircases as well. The views at the top are amazing, and that's include the many vultures that fly very close to you. The trails were extensively marked, with almost no mud and without too many bugs, which is great too. Some parts of the trail include walking over bare rocks so it might be slippery after a rainy day. Most of the trail is shaded but some of the climb and the top are largely exposed. There is an entrance fee of 6.25 CAD per adult and 3 CAD for kids 5yo and over (cash or debit only). There were plenty of parking spots available although we didn't arrive particularly early. The trail is definitely doable with kids who are used to...
Read moreThis step-hill/small-mountain features narrow trails that are mostly dirt, rock, with some areas covered in gravel. You can do the trail in solid running shoes, but hiking boots/shoes are much more appropriate. At the most challenging points you may need to stabilize yourself with your hands. Due to the steep nature of the hill, expect a few points on your hike that your step will go up or down by 18 inches.
The view from the summit and various lookout points show the surrounding agricultural land which is as flat as far as the eye can see. Nothing spectacular or breath-taking per se, but offer perspective on the area.
All staff were friendly and courteous to us on a busy Sunday afternoon.
I would avoid this trail with children under 12 who don't like hiking. Not appropriate for babies carried on your chest or back as you could slip and...
