I've been to tremblant alot in the last 8 and I can honestly say that this experience that I had yesterday at the casino was the worth I've ever had!
I've been going up to the casino for the last 8 years, probably 8-10 times a year when I'm conducting business up their and with my wife for the past 2 since we got married. We decided to take a trip up to tremblant and go to the casino like we always do but we were treated with such disrespect!
Both me and my wife at 26 years old, anyone with the basic common sense can see that we are older then 18 and to give you an idea for the sake of this complaint it was - 15 yesterday with the windshield in the afternoon around 4 when we got their. Anyway we take the ski lift their like we normally do, walk in the cold and finally make it. When we walk inside normally we just walk in no problem but this time, their was a very rude woman that puts her hands on my chest forcibly to stop me, as if I was trying to 'sneak' in and yeils "carte" in my face. First of all she didn't ask nicely say can I please se your ID sir she just said "carte" as if I knew what she was saying. Anyway we go to take out our ID's for her and realize that we had left the ID for my wife in the car down the mountain. She then told us we must 'leave' the casino... I'm like ok relax I have a picture of her license on my phone let me just show it to you. She goes on to yeil at me it's not like this sir (in French not talking to me in English because she refused) that's not allowed u need to leave. A little shocked and frankly discusted I take my wife and leave outside.
When we get outside, waiting for the bus in the cold we realize let's just wait in the entrance for the bus at least to keep warm, like I said it was really cold that day.we go inside and not 10 seconds later the woman come up to me again and says u need to get out... At this point I was more then upset! I looked at her and was like listen, I'm leaving don't worry I'm just not going to wait in the cold like a dog, I'm waiting here just to keep warm and then taking the bus to get my ID and come back! She then said "she can't be in here it's the law". First of all here and Montreal there is no law or anywhere in Quebec saying you cannot be in the lobby just waiting for the bus to keep warm there are nobody in the lobby of the casino in Montreal carding people so that they cannot be there she just obviously didn't like us. At the end of the day I told her I'm not going to wait with my wife outside while I can just stand here she's not gambling there's no harm in it leave us alone. She then instructed that if we do not leave she was going to grab security I told her to go right ahead and then security escorted us out forcibly.
The thing that really bothers me is that if you look at some of the other negative reviews there's the same woman who is blond, older, heavier-set with round glasses and some of the other reviews that are negative saying that she no people skills and does not know how to treat customers that have been going there for years. I'm a very reasonable person and at the end of the day I understood the fact that if my wife didn't have her ID we weren't allowed in that is the law and I'm not disputing that. What I am upset about and what is going to stop me from ever coming back to the casino is that we couldn't even have the basic human decency to let us wait in the lobby to keep warm. If the owner or somebody in charge doesn't respond to this it will show me that they really don't care about their customers but more importantly if someone doesn't respond they not only are they losing my business but they're losing the business of about a dozen or so people that I normally bring up there each year! They should absolutely fire her I've never been treated so badly by any...
Read moreWhile parked in a loading zone for a hotel in Mont-Tremblant, a guy that was driving one of the shuttles to the casino started yelling at me regarding where I was parked. After I tried to tell him that I’m in the loading zone for the hotel, he continued to gesture at me aggressively and then began to exit the shuttle bus (that was going to the casino) and approached my car. As my fiancé was inside the hotel getting checked in and a cart; I was by myself and ended up locking the doors to my car. I felt very scared and threatened that this bus/shuttle driver was coming up to my car and screaming at me in an aggressive manner regarding where I was parked. Several people were also parked there unloading as well. I then told my fiancé as soon as he came back to the car with the cart regarding what went on. The bus/shuttle driver then got back onto the bus and stared at us while we unloaded our things onto the cart. Although this isn’t an experience regarding going to the casino it has to do with the driver of the shuttle/bus to the casino. I was scared and upset after this matter. The way this individual approached my vehicle and behaved in an aggressive unprofessional manner was unacceptable. If I was in the way I would have moved. But I was not at all. This was very disappointing and ruined my day/experience. Hopefully the driver of this shuttle/bus to the casino gets spoken to regarding this incident as I hope no other individual has to be in this position or feel threatened by this individual. I was able to get a picture of the...
Read morePersonnel and management were not friendly and didn't show respect to guests who didn't have reservation spots.
they asked us to wait in a different line and told us that we could enter when some people came out, although we waited around 2 hours, they didn't care about our presence,
every 15 minutes new people were coming with reservations and went in fast and easy, but not even one of us . were able to get in. we were around maybe 20 people and not much but they were not willing to let us visit Casino. also, they didn't tell us from the beginning that we couldn't get in but also they asked us to wait. in the end, we all regret entering and left, although they saw all of us disappointed, still, lack of management didn't let us enjoy our weekend night.
It was so easy for a 10 yeas old adult to be able to manage this situation and make all happy. They were easily able to let each couple get in every 15minutes. that simple. but they didn't !!
between it was not mentioned in the Casino website or any other AD that it is necessary to reserve a spot for Casino. It was just recommended. We went to Mont-Tremblant as tourists and we wanted to enjoy one hour in Casino as well, so for sure, not all people could plan an exact time to spend in the casino.
Pandemic and Corona is a good excuse for some companies to...
