The water here is very shallow, making it perfect for young children or dogs with short legs. You can walk a very long distance into the water and only have it come as high as your knees. This is a natural beach that is not groomed or maintained in any way and is home to the local wildlife. This means there are grasses growing all along the beach, you have to watch out for goose and seagull poop and be aware of the local wildlife including snakes. With that being said, it is a very fun beach for families because of the safety factor.

Two raised boardwalks traverse the sensitive dune habitat to access the beach. A camp and seasonal mobility mat provide additional access to the sand and water's edge.
Apart from the beach, there is a Wild Garden Trail approximately 1.5 km / 45 min walk. The Wild Garden trail leads you through several habitats and features panels that tell the story of Singing Sands. If you have a camera or binoculars bring them along! Hiking shoes are recommended
A section of the Wild Garden trail is designed to accommodate wheelchairs, mobility aids and strollers. Accessible Boardwalk 250 m / 15 min Wheelchair accessibility starts from the parking lot and includes a universal washroom at the reception building
