I visited the Irving Eco-centre, la Dune de Bouctouche with my family, and it was an incredible experience for 5 of us.

Hidden gem, free access to beautiful sandy beach. The boardwalk is beautifully maintained and offers stunning views of the dunes and coastline, Long board walk but multiple access to the beach, you won’t have to walk far to get to the beach.

It's the perfect place for a peaceful walk surrounded by nature. The information boards along the way provide interesting insights into the local ecosystem. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, making the visit even more enjoyable.

This peaceful stretch of beach is great get away from the stress of life. This orange sand is soft and easy to walk on barefoot. You'll enjoy the sea air and the waves as they crash against the shore. This are is really safe for kids and a great way to get fresh air. I love my walks here and will be back.

I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of New Brunswick.

The best part of this place is that it’s only 35 mins away from Moncton city. You can drive anytime...

Bouctouche Dunes – A Coastal Gem That Overdelivers

If you’re looking for a beach experience that’s clean, quiet, and genuinely majestic, Bouctouche Dunes delivers — and then some.

The first surprise? The water. Much warmer than you’d expect for the North Atlantic, making it actually inviting for a swim. The shoreline is impressively well-maintained, free of litter or noise, and the overall vibe is calm without feeling empty.

It’s not crowded, but not deserted either — just the right balance of space and presence. And the views? Absolutely spectacular. From the sweeping dunes to the open ocean horizon, it’s one of the most photogenic coastal spots in the Maritimes.

This isn’t a party beach or a tourist trap. It’s serene, stunning, and quietly unforgettable.

Verdict: ✅ Warm, swimmable waters ✅ Clean, well-kept shoreline ✅ Breathtaking natural scenery ✅ Unspoiled, uncrowded atmosphere

Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates nature...

Best beach close to Moncton with lots of space and a walking trail to the Arboretum in Bouctouche. The boardwalk is well designed and maintained. There are dog kennels, changing rooms, wash rooms, and interpretive center, and ample parking here. I do wish people would make use of the generously provided garbage cans here instead of leaving garbage on the beach. There's lots of garbage further down the dunes - some washed up fishing gear and some lazily discarded food and drink containers, even an axel and tires from an old wagon. I'll never understand why people go to a natural area like this and degrade it with garbage and disrespect. Kudos to owners for doing...

Walked on the raised boardwalks of the dune beach. It's a short walk, not that long, probably a 30 min walk if you take your time really. Along the way, there are these information displays about the nature/wildlife found there. There are these information buildings at the beginning of the walk pathways. There's the main one with a person in it who will answer your questions and help you out. There's the second building that has a mini information museum. It was an enjoyable walk. Though we went on a day that was cloudy, rainy, and super windy. Would have been better if there was sun and less wind. Check the weather before you come here.
