Crofton Community Seawalk — Attraction in North Cowichan

Exceptional oceanside walkway. Lovely views of the Strait and islands. Many ducks and geese, and I saw a couple of kingfishers. The path is level and easy; mostly ocean boardwalk with some fine gravel section. It's wheelchair accessible, and friendly for walkers of leashed dogs. There's a good-sized parking lot at each end. There are some benches to sit on and some trash cans, plus a couple of overhead shelters if you get caught in the rain. Overall a very pleasant walk...

This raised boardwalk over the water is a nice place for a walk. Well designed safe railings along the sides and saw lots of well-behaved leashed dogs. Not so great a view when the tide is out, because of the exposed rocks and sea floor mud. Aren't typically the best views.
