My wife and I have been staying here twice a year for over ten years, the cottages are well equipped, clean and well maintained. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable, the property is in a pleasant setting with access to the shore and nice views, the perfect set up for our week long stays. The property is located a 3 minute drive from the town of North Rustico which has everything you need, restaurants, grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, bakery, fish market for fresh seafood down at the harbour, a kilometer long boardwalk along the harbour that leads to the national park beach and being centrally located on the north shore makes a great base for exploring the island. We are always looking forward to our next trip to P.E.I. and staying at Blue Crest Cottages. Highly recommended.

THIS IS HONEST! Very nice when you walk in full kitchen set up with plates bowls cutlery etc bbq and deck/chairs and table with the ash tray was nice. Park right behind cottage 5 if you have kids I recommend 4 or 5 as you can see them from the deck the owner are very friendly rooms don’t have actual lights just lamps and you have to pay for any pet hair left behind on top of the 15$ a night fee for the pets. You must walk down to the dumpster and put your own trash away. Not a lot of storage space if you’re thinking about bringing lots of food. They also did not tell us about the vet fee and continued to leave out the part of the pet fee on their may messages to me aswell as their website/booking.com Expedia ect

We hosted a family reunion here and they were very accommodating! The cottages are set back from the road so there is reduced road noise. The pool and hot tub were spotless and clean and the kids had a blast with the pool toys. We had a camp fire at the end of the property and it was just easy. The staff is awesome as well. They also provided all the tools and pots to have a lobster cook-out. Would 100% recommend.

We absolutely LOVED this place. I've seen some of the other reviews here, which give poor ratings, but honestly, that wasn't our experience at all so I'm not sure what's going on there. We rented Cottage B, it had two good sized bedrooms (one King size bed in one room, the other room has two doubles or twins, I can't usually tell the difference), a large living/dining room with a pull-out couch, a good sized kitchen with stove/oven/large refrigerator/freezer, and a private toilet and shower and sink. The view is AMAZING, you have a large porch with comfy, cool chairs and a little table so you can sit outside and sip tea/hot chocolate/coffee and watch the ocean. ||||There's a TV with cable inside, and a pull-out couch, so there are four beds in Cottage B The cottages all have rustic wood paneling, giving the place a warm, cozy feeling. There's a large table with four chairs, and you can eat your meals in front of the window taking in the view. The beach is a two minute walk just across the small access road. The grounds have a large grassy area for kids to play on and there's a little jungle-gym type thing for them as well - there's also a basketball hoop. I honestly don't remember anything about a pool, however, I wasn't interested in a pool, I went to the beach, so I didn't inquire or pay attention. ||||One person mentions having to clean their own cottage ---- WHAT? This is not true, you don't have to clean your own place and there is no charge if you don't - they have housekeeping. I believe there is something about the possibility of being charged a damage fee, if the place is damaged, so perhaps that was the confusion??? At any rate, I only cleaned up after myself in the polite way, I didn't houseclean, and I certainly wasn't charge a fee. ||||The cottage was in perfect condition. There is also an A/C. The staff/owners were all perfectly lovely and very helpful. I stayed here with my teenage son and he loved it as much as I did. We will most definitely be staying here again....

We stayed for four nights on our first time in PEI. Blue Crest wasn't a "destination" in itself, but it was a great base for our travels. We had a 2 bedroom cottage. Some thoughts: |- The owners are great hosts: very kind, friendly and passionate. Our door lock broke and was quickly repaired by the owner. |-The location is perfect, close (but not too close) to Cavendish and all parts of PEI national park, and in the center of the island if you want to explore either the eastern or western shores.|-Don't believe other reviews that state you need to clean the cottage prior to check out. This is NOT the case. There is a sign on the inside of the cottage that indicates this, but this is from the prior owners and NO LONGER APPLIES. (Note to owners: remove the sign.)|-Cottages are comfortable; they could definitely use a renovation but I'm sure the owners are working on it. Lousy towels, and some smelled like they were sitting around too long without being freshened. Shower water temperature was hard to modulate; I hereby decree that all hotels need to eliminate the separate hot and cold water faucets for a single lever. Only one A/C unit, in the living room; it might be hard to cool off both bedrooms on a hot day. |-Great pool, and especially, great hot tub; this is an amenity not found in many PEI...
