We visited the beach south of the park. Parked the car on the south side of Beach Drive. There were people sunning themselves in Adirondack chairs atop the outcrop that juts out into the bay, overlooking the Trial Islets. They seemed to enjoy themselves. There was plenty of room. We could have brought our chairs and got takeout from one of these cafes on Oak Bay Avenue just 5 minutes away. Next time...

This is a local dog running park with a beautiful view. Be aware that there is no access to the beach despite that some of the posted pictures suggest it. The park is mostly surrounded by private properties and accessible from a trail. There are a few benches to sit and enjoy the view and the sunshine.

Beautiful area with views of Olympic park and the waterway. Fairly accessible, can view from the sidewalk or walk down on the rocks. Parking lots is small, about 5 cars. The chairs on the rocks were nice to sit and enjoy the view and sounds.

Anderson Hill Park is a true gem in Oak Bay, offering some of the most stunning views in the area. This peaceful spot is easily accessible, with convenient parking available nearby, making it an ideal destination for a quick escape into nature.

From the hilltop, you’re treated to breathtaking panoramic views that stretch out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with the majestic Olympic Mountains rising in the distance. The sight of the ocean shimmering below and the rugged coastline unfolding before you is nothing short of spectacular. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Washington State, and the sunsets here are simply unforgettable, with the sky ablaze in hues of orange, pink, and gold.

The park’s location is perfect for both locals and visitors alike, offering a tranquil retreat just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Victoria. The gentle slopes and well-maintained paths make it easy to explore the area, and the benches strategically placed along the trails invite you to sit, relax, and take in the views.

Whether you’re looking for a place to enjoy a peaceful walk, take in some fresh air, or simply soak in the natural beauty of the island, Anderson Hill Park is a must-visit. The views from the top are nothing short of awe-inspiring, and the park’s accessibility makes it a perfect spot for a spontaneous visit whenever you need a moment of...

We had not heard of this place until it was featured on a local news show. Views are spectacular! You can drive up to the small parking area, but for the full experience park at McNeil Bay and walk up the steep yet short trail from Transit Road (look for the Centennial Trail marker beside the driveway to 545 Transit). It's well worth the effort Not much there except rocks, wildflowers, and a couple of benches, but for a commanding view it...
