We visited the twin valley zoo today, 9 of us total. Went to order ice cream and was then informed no cones, I asked if they had any as their sign also says waffle cones and I was willing to pay extra. The guy at the window said no, then I said none at all? He then said we do but for soft ice cream only. I asked why? He said the lady also working has a blood clot in her leg? I asked what that has to do with getting a cone that is on the window showing they do have. He said it hurts her, I said ok so you’re not willing to provide a service you clearly have? I said ok will be all in bowls, I guess. I proceeded to order more and he seemed very annoyed. I asked if he did not like his job? To which he said no he doesn’t and does not like the disrespect. I asked how I was being disrespectful, as I was genuinely curious how there can be false advertisement and being told they have no cones and then they do. My family runs businesses’ of their own and should not of been handled that way. He then proceeded to say he’s refusing service and closed the window. Safe to say left 7 kids upset.
Thank you for the prompt response. There was no aggression/ disrespect just genuine honest questions when the children and myself can visibly see cones and was confused by his response and changes in answers and harsh tone of your son with attitude that you could visibly see. Upon telling the front desk they said they get a lot of complaints on your son which is very unfortunate and hopefully a learning...
Read moreI decided to try chef hotdog today, it was absolutely amazing. Usually when you think of a hotdog cart you think of a quick and cheap lunch, but chef hotdog is an experience. We grabbed 2 cheese and bacon sausages and it was so good I went right back to grab another and a burger. I stood around chatting to him and a fellow customer, the owner here truly cares about the customers and is very passionate about his business. He shared his lunch hotdog with me as we “broke bread” and it made my day. I usually dislike hotdogs more than anything, but even the hotdogs here are of quality, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t wait to grab some more food from here and im not even done my meal yet. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re really missing out. Thanks...
Read moreI like to try and support small businesses and have tried dozens of hotdog places in hamilton over the years. First of all, contrary to the schedule, they were closed on tuesday for the past two weeks second of all the beef hotdogs just didnt taste good, the bun was toasted, and the hotdog was large but it just tasted bland. I also did a taste comparison afterwards with Hammer Dogz down the street which by comparison costed 4.50 vs the 4 dollar hotdog here, and hammer dogz just tasted way better; it actually tasted like something unlike here. and there are other cheaper options on barton if you're looking for...
