Bad winter i know but... Much of the trail is blocked by fallen trees which have not been cared for. More old dead trees than anything else. Unable to even locate more than three markers on the memorial walk. Benches are scraggy and in need of repair or even paint. Trail is one of the nicer ones in the county and i don't understand why it isn't taken care of properly. Maybe because most of the county residents who remember it's meaning to county people aren't on council and council only seems interested in tax revenue from as many ridiculously over priced homes they can shove onto our island until it...

Cool place for a hike and picnic if you’re in the PEC area. Can check out the nearby birdhouse city too!

The beginning of the trail system is not super well marked (from the parking lot, the grass path leads to the main trails, the gravel path leads to a short side trail). However, once you’re on the main trails they are very easy to follow. The hike is not very strenuous and family friendly (there is an uphill at the beginning) and very pretty! But the trails are not super well maintained and can be flooded in...

This is such a beautiful place, right outside of Picton. Probably the best forest/conservation area in Prince Edward County. Scattered along Macaulay mountain are very nice mountain biking trails! There is also a nice pond here that people can skate on in the winter. There are also lots of picnic tables around. Overall a fantastic place to go on walks, hike, MTB, or just have a picnic. Lots of bugs so make sure to bring bug spray in the...

This was such a beautiful place with several trails to hike. The main trail took us about an hour and a half to complete and it was fairly easy. You do have to watch out for a steep hill you need to go up at the beginning but after that, you’ll come across such beautiful forests. Parking is $5 paid online and when we went, there weren’t that many people. Perfect place to go on a peaceful hike.

What a beautiful spot! Very picturesque. It has plenty of varieties of trees (hemlock, black walnut, etc.) and foliage along the different trails, some of which are flat, and some which go up the mountain. It is well groomed with an area along some water as well. This area has ticks so make sure you check yourself and your pets when leaving. 👍
