If i could rate it with numbers, i would give it a 4.3/5. Youre gonna get the same experience as with other popular beaches (like Sauble and Wasaga) but it has more trees for shade. Dont get me wrong, its actually a good thing since you will get the 'beach in the summer' feel and experience.

Pros: The beach faces westward. Expect a beautiful sunset on the horizon. Its an extension of, and is owned by the Sand Banks, yet its not as overcrowded. Depending on the season, the waves get pretty strong. Its shallow 50 - 100 feet of distance from the shore. They have campsites right beside the beach. Washrooms and changerooms close to the parking lot. The beach is a good 3 minures walk from the parking lot (literally right beside it). Theres a good amount of trees for shade (i was able to setup a hammock). There is hiking spots all over and you can walk from one beach and into the next.

Cons: Goodluck trying to get in. The line at the entrance gets pretty long so expect more than an hour's worth of waiting. Its an extension of the Sand Banks and its other beaches. Expect alot of crowds at peak times especially on holdiays. The campsites are booked a month in advanced, thats the usual for popular campsites. Washrooms or changerooms (or atleast the two i went to) did not have showers or rinsing stations. Albeit the parking lot is close to the beach, the actual spot you will find (thats not already taken) would be alot further from the place you parked. It would actually take you an extra 5 minutes of walking from your spot and to the car.

In total, its a good beach. The sand is actually natural in formation and i had a good experience going here. Cant say its the best, but its pretty much what you would expect from...

I've visited several Ontario provincial parks over the years, and this beach truly stands out. The sand is incredibly soft—it's an experience you need to feel barefoot to fully appreciate. Visiting in mid-August 2024, I found the water pleasantly warm, with wild and exhilarating waves. If you're into surfing, definitely bring your board to ride the waves. The shallow water makes it perfect for even young kids to safely play 40-50 meters from the shoreline, though be aware that the depth can change suddenly by about a foot in certain areas.

The beach is mostly free of stones, with just a few small seashells that are unlikely to bother your feet. The sunsets and sunrises here are nothing short of magical—make sure you don’t miss them. For those from the Toronto area, the night sky after 11 PM is a must-see. The sheer number of stars is breathtaking, especially if you haven't seen such a clear sky in a long time.

Picton, the nearest town, is about a 15-minute drive away and has a Metro and Giant Tiger for groceries. McDonald’s is in the same plaza as Metro, and Giant Tiger is just a few blocks down the street. Sitting near the beach, you’ll be treated to the constant soothing sound of waves. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, with two comfort stations, one conveniently located near the beach. Parking can get busy depending on the weather, so it’s wise to arrive early.

Around sunset, don’t miss the mesmerizing sight of the treetops. The leaves turn a fiery red for a few brief moments, making it look as though the trees are on fire—a stunning display you won’t...

We had an absolutely delightful time at Outlet Beach with the family this past Civic holiday. The beaches were clean and accessible. I highly recommend you book in advance as parking spaces are limited, especially during holiday weekends. Don't drive all the way only to be turned away. The facilities were cleaned regularly and well maintained. Everyone was polite and professional, and the prices at the local store were reasonable.

I want to extend a special thanks to the Park Officials and the OPP for their prompt and timely response to a reported missing child & Father. Most of all, everyone who participated in the water search at Outlet Beach when called upon by the OPP. Despite the possibility of being tragic, we all really came together in a moment of immediate need. Fortunately, the boy and father were located safely ashore and were reunited with Mom shortly after by Park Officials and the OPP.

We look forward to visiting again very soon, Highly recommended!

Be safe...

One of the most amazing beaches in Ontario, soft fine sand, shallow water great for families! The local restaurant also serve great food, and had amazing staff. We order the burger combo the buns where a freshly made garlic bun and the patties where perfectly cooked, the topping where set out as a topping bar and the vegetables where super fresh. Not your average beach side dinner. They also offer vegetarian option which my wife enjoyed. Another amazing thing about this beach is the view of the sunset be sure to plan a trip to this beach soon if you have never been.

This beach is a hidden gem for Eastern Ontario residents. It’s well-maintained, with clean facilities, including washrooms, and offers plenty of space with shaded areas and benches. The soft sand and clear water evoke a touch of the Caribbean. To avoid long line-ups, consider purchasing parking passes online in advance. Arriving early gives you a better chance of securing a prime spot. While most visitors leave by afternoon or early evening, staying a bit longer rewards you with a stunning sunset.
