Rosehall Run Vineyards — Attraction in Ontario

Rosehall Run Vineyards gave us a truly memorable experience. We were first greeted by Patty, who was fantastic and led us up to a private rooftop terrace with stunning views of the vineyard — the perfect setting for our tasting. The wines were wonderfully complex, and I only wish we had more time to try even more. Midway through, we had the pleasure of chatting with Dan Sullivan, the head winemaker and namesake of their Sully wine. Hearing about his journey from growing up in Toronto to crafting wine in Prince Edward County was a real treat. A St. Patrick’s Day jaunt to the county resulted in an absolutely wonderful time walking through some fantastic wines with Dylan at Rosehall Run.

The passion and knowledge of this family run winery is clear. Their wines have a consistent style of lemony whites and dry fruity reds that never try to overreach. I’m happy to see they are expanding their operation too! I’m certain they will be filling it during high season! (Gosh, I hope my wife and I can still find a seat!)

Beautiful winery tucked at the end of the road. We are so glad we made the decision to stop by! Unfortunately the patio was full so we went into the shop to take a look at some of their wines. We are not expert wine tasters so we frankly told the owner this and she actually took her time in explaining so many things to us. She provided us complimentary wine tasting even though we insisted to pay. Overall, we will definitely be coming back here on our next visit to PEC and we will be purchasing their wine from LCBO.
