Great place to go for a walk with family, friends and/or dogs. Lots of different paths and trails to take of various lengths and levels of manicured paths. There's parking and a large map in the parking lot so you can choose your route. There is access to the river and dogs can swim and splash around. Some areas are more forested than others. Pack bug spray and water. Dogs can be off leash so you can let them run and there's fields for them to run in too. There's outhouses at the parking lot.

I grew up in Manotick in the late 80s and early 90s and loved this area before it was officially made into a park. Back then, there were no designated pathways or maintenance of any kind, but the present Park still maintains the sense of wilderness that I remember as a child growing up. It is absolutely lovely to still be able to stroll through all these years later now as a visitor to the area instead of as a resident.

Beautiful trail, the only outdoor activity during this lockdown period of Covid-19 epidemic is to walk in nature, this beautiful trail is one of the best among Ottawa’s area many hiking trails. Nice scenery, lots of trees, rolling river and beautiful weather. Highly advisable for family with children, walking or biking along the river side, breathing clean air and listening to bird’s tweets!

This is a great place to walk you dog off leash, for everybody who goes there for a walk and you don'thave a dog, please beware you will encounter dogs, some will be very quiet and calm, some will bark, some will want to play( because a dog does not know the difference between a person who loves dog and one who does not) so, please if you do not want to encounter dogs, do us all a favor and don't come for a walk in an off-leash dog park!! There is plenty of places you can go walk where dogs are...
