First time at this casino. The staff was all amazing, the complementary drinks were great . I had a feeling about it being the one to go to. They had a great selection of games including huff and more puff. Anyways we showed up just before 7pm with 160 bucks. We played it down to 20 then things got interesting. We hit over 400 on 2 machines. We took the 160 and put it away. We started playing with our winnings and changing up the bet level randomly. When the bonus hit it was somewhere between a 2 and 4 dollar bet. It was a huge line pay that got our first hand pay. Also the slot attendant was super quick. We were paid within 5 mins. We will be back to try the buffet next time. Nomnom. The buffet is hands down the best I've had at any casino. It was worth the wait and must come back for prime rib. The kitchen staff is doing it right.

First it is not near any water. Second it is a den of despair. Walkers, canes and desperation filled the seats and aisles. I was looking to buy a coffee and found one. I was not allowed to remove the libation from the premises. Coffee can't leave but addiction can enter. Saddest of all this is our own government taxing the mathmatically impaired with false hope and bad odds. I used to not care about casinos. Now I do.

Comps are scarce, food is too expensive for a casino where we once earned free diners.

My husband and I went to the casino restaurant to celebrate Valentine’s Day. (February 14 2025) I have to say we were sorely disappointed and disgusted with the food. They served steak and shrimp skewers with the buffet. My husband asked for medium and I asked for medium rare. I know what medium rare is. It is my typical preference. Both of us ended up with rare/raw steaks that were tough, cold and unseasoned. The steaks were full of gristle and I just couldn’t eat it at all after trying two bites. The rest of what they were serving in the buffet was acceptable but nothing special. I asked the waitress if it would be possible to return my steak and get another one. She recommended that I take my plate of food back to the servers. I did. I also waited in line holding my plate while everyone around me commented that the steak was indeed raw looking. When it was my turn I showed the server the steak and asked for a replacement. Another man came to stand beside me with his plate and a similarly rare/raw steak dinner. The server was extremely rude and at first refused to replace either of our steaks. When the man stated that there are more unhappy people in the line holding their dinner plates with raw steaks the server told another person to take our plates. That person then took my dinner and the man’s dinner and walked away and put both full plates in a bin. The server then gave me and the man new plates and tried to give us steaks that were also far undercooked that he took from a bin. The steak cook then offered steaks from the grill that were slightly more cooked. I then asked for the shrimp skewer that comes with the steak dinner. He said NO. He said “I already gave you one” he was loud and rude and I said “you took my dinner away so no, I don’t have any shrimp” the man who also returned his steak asked for his shrimp and received it with an attitude as well. When I went to refill my plate with the original foods I had chosen the foods were gone/empty. A girl brought out more chicken but not more roasted vegetables. So I ended up with a small scoop of cold mashed potatoes and no vegetables. When I returned to my table my husband had soldierd on with his steak as best he could and had left most of it but had finished the rest of his meal. My replacement steak was still too raw to eat for me. At that point dinner was basically ruined. The diners surrounding us all had the same issues. So I know the servers were well aware of the problem and continued serving undercooked steak. We will never go there again for a steak dinner. Never. And my husband’s beer was just under $12. Just an absolute disaster...

I'm reviewing the buffet specifically as the slot machines are ostensibly what you expect to see and there's not much to talk about there.

I've been to the (weekend) brunch buffet, (Tues) BBQ buffet, (Thurs) lobster/prime rib buffet, and the (Fri) steak buffet.

Brunch was my least favourite. All the food is offensively underseasoned, and even the breakfast sausages tasted remarkably...tasteless. I'm not sure if they were overboiled or what, but I've never had a sausage taste so styrofoamy -- there was just no flavour. The eggs were similar; yellow scrambled eggs, look pretty normal, but just taste like nothing. There is salt/pepper and some hot sauce / condiments available upon request, so I just loaded everything up that way.

The BBQ buffet was also disappointing. When I went there were sausages (these ones were OK compared to the brunch ones, but still not great), chicken thighs and drumsticks (underseasoned, with a tomato-ish sauce on them...very plain), baked potatoes, and hot dogs. No burgers / beef, but enough variety in theory. This time I'd brought my own hot sauce from home and just ended up covering the chicken with it. Won't go on a Tuesday night again -- it was pretty disappointing, even at $10.

Thursday is lobster & prime rib, and I've been to this one maybe 5-6 times. I hit the salad bar, then repeatedly load up on prime rib and lobster, and don't touch anything else. The lobster is basic, but there's garlic butter available and it's pretty easy to enjoy a bunch of them. The prime rib is underseasoned, but you can load it with salt/pepper and horse radish to make it interesting. I usually go with a friend and we'll each go through 5-8 plates of lobster & prime rib, which for $20 is hard to be mad at.

Friday is steak night. You get one voucher for a single steak (it's a decent size) and otherwise have unlimited access to the usual salad/desserts/sides. Less satisfying than the Thursday deal, IMO, but the steak was OK and there's still other stuff to choose from.

I don't love this place, but I do like it. It's cheap, usually not too busy (sometimes it's crazy at dinner rush, but rarely), and one of the few buffet...

Compared to ANY OTHER casino literally anywhere else this is a joke I'm sorry. (That's sad because I've played at the Blackfoot casino in Calgary "cash casino" which if you've played there YOU KNOW )First they build a budget casino if you want to call it that so small there's only room for one row of tables. This is the ONLY attraction in the place. There's no stage, no entertainment while playing, no "atmosphere". The feel I get from this place is exactly what it is. Here to take peterboroughs money. Now you would say oh everyone says that about casinos but hear me out. Most casinos give you choice of entertainment, for example food and beverage entertainment say at the restaurant or various bars throughout. Not here. You want to be tucked away in a corner like the old Zellers restaurant (which btw I loved) then sure have it! However most people don't come to the casino to be tucked away. Maybe you want to watch the horse racing or some sports betting? Nope different location down the highway. Lol, ok maybe I'll just watch everyone else playing because it's still exciting ! Ya nope, were in ptbo. Half the tables are closed pretty much all the time, might see a couple people on the roulette table losing thier money since the stakes are so high. Min bets outside $25.(I was literally told by the dealer he took $34000 off a guy in a hour today. Black jack? How about $15 min bet. You would think we're in downtown Toronto or Calgary (even Calgary had WAY lower min bets) I'm just dumbfounded how this place is going to continue in the future when there's no money left in Peterborough lol. Anytime the G.M wants to discuss how to make the place a proper venue. (With revenue outside of tables ) Shoot me a reply. Do you even have poker tables? Like...classic 1-2? 2-5? No limit games and tourneys running? There's an entire poker community in town. I'm just sad I guess this place isn't what it could be not even...
