I went their twice. The first time, I arrived first in my group. So I went to do rides. I joined the waiting ling a for a 4 person ride. When it became my turn to grab a slide, the lifeguard attending the end of the ride area told me I needed to be at least with someone else. For next three minutes I asked people in the waiting line if there was anyone to do it with me, occasionally looking at the lifeguard like help me find someone. after the three minutes the lifeguard told me to give the slide to those behind me. I then left because I did no want to spoil my day with this bad first experience but it did spoil my time there for the next 2 hours or so until my friends arrived. after wards the day was quite fun if you think waiting 2 hours for one ride and 1h 30 for another is fun. I know the time because I had my phone with me during the waiting lines. I asked one of the life guards if they could keep my phone in their booth till I finished the ride (it was my turn for the ride so at best I would be be away for 5 minutes) he told me that he would put it on the ground and if someone grabbed it it would not be his problem. That's it for the first time. I modified my outfit knowing that half the lifeguards were going to lack human compassion by adding a banana bag to my waist. My second time was still a drag because of the lifeguards. The same diving goggles I had last time were no longer adequate in the eyes of a lifeguard for a ride I already did with them. When I asked what changed and the girl told me that she knew better and the other lifeguards aren't as knowledgeable as her. (it's a slide that leads to a deep pool. Having those goggles would have made it easier to get out of there but someone knew better) needless to say I shoved my goggles in my banana bag to make her happy then did the slide. later on a parkour field floating on the lake my goggles were again refused for reasons beyond me and for reasons not even verbalised this time. back in the bag during another attraction which should let you have them. Now here is the main reason I am writing this review. I bought a waterproof phone case at the gift shop. while getting my wallet out I was asking the cashier if they ever had complaints about them water leaking inside. she said no and that they were amazing. after I got my card out I asked if they floated in water. she said partly yes. After I paid she said all sales are final and non refundable. it was odd, but I went on to a ride where my friends were. As I walked up to join the wait line, the end of ride lifeguard told me I can't have the waterproof phone case on me when I do rides. we talked and he called his manager for me. The lifeguard told me the same thing as the lifeguard, I asked for a refund on the waterproof phone case, she contacted the manager of the giftshop. The way this guy treated me was respectless and anger inducing. He refused to refund me, played word games around their policies that were stated on their website when I bought it in person and played word games again when I said the case cant be used during rides. Because he looked younger then me. I asked where his manager is and he proudly said while tapping his nameplate that he is the manager. I then asked where the guy who signs his pay slip is and he pointed be at a building 1.5 km away. I laughed and walked away accepting they scammed me for 13.80$. later that day, on my last ride. i ran into the lifeguard's manager again and she said that the shops manager was willing to refund me since a sign wasn't up in the shop which should have informed about the waterproof phone case usage in the park. Knowing that the shop's manager was particularly good at making at being inconsiderate i left the park. Overall the rides here are fun but half the lifeguard staff are ill mannered and whatever you do, do not buy from the gift shop. that is a...
Read moreThis place is crowded. We decided to go to Super Aqua Club on a Saturday and made sure to arrive at the park opening around 10am. Clearly, this was not enough, because the main parking lots were already full and we were diverted to parking lot D. The staff managing the parking lot were also very confused. Some were telling us to go here, others telling us to go there. Lots of hand waving and no synergy whatsoever.
As we're walking up to the main entrance, there's one main big line and another smaller line. As we moved up the bigger line, I noticed the smaller line was to buy tickets onsite. We hadn't purchased tickets ahead of time, but luckily were able to quickly buy some online in the time that we entered the line, to the time that we got to the bag search. This is my suggestion for you as well. Don't waste time buying your tickets onsite, if you haven't already gotten them! It's easy to purchase them on your mobile.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say there were thousands of people in this park when we finally got inside. Many of the tables around the seating and eating areas were covered in bags and table cloths and balloons and signs and food. There was nowhere available to sit if you hadn't gotten there at the crack of dawn.
We had rented a locker and I think their system is ingenious. You have a key in the wristband you wear and it pops open your locker when you scan the wristband on the sensors. Very easy to use! I didn't have any issues; I only saw one woman struggling with hers for the whole day.
Now, for the attractions. We were at the Park for 6 hours and only got on 7 rides out of 22 total attractions. We rode the Tsunami first, which was probably our biggest mistake. This attraction had the longest line in the entire park and we were waiting for over 2 hours to go on it. We were also rudely cut in line by a man that refused to stand in the proper line. No staff intervened to correct his poor behavior, despite having to squeeze past him several times.
We also rode on Mistral, Whirlwind, Wild Rivers, Sonora, and Squalls, as well as played around in the Storm play structure. I found Mistral had the best fun to wait-time ratio.
As for the food at this park, we ate at La Taqueria for a disappointing, overpriced meal. The burrito was expensive and stone cold inside, as well as absolutely tasteless. However, at the time, it had the shorter line so we opted for this spot. There was virtually no seating at the restaurant and we had to share our table with another group.
Overall, we spent 150 dollars for a day at Super Aqua Club and I don't have a positive impression, so I can't see myself going back. There are other water parks in and around the Montreal area that give better value for...
Read moreWe went on July 23, 2023. A Sunday. We planned to buy tickets when we arrived. When we arrived at the gate a staff member was at the gate turning people away saying it was sold out. We turned around and took the long walk back to our car. I had never heard of a waterpark selling out as people are constantly leaving, so I went online and was able to buy tickets online. It was clearly not sold out. I don't know how many people this staff member turned away, but it was a lot I imagine. We returned to the park after buying our tickets online and the staff member was gone. People were entering the park as normal. This was incredibly confusing and a general waste of our time. I'm sure there were people who just went home when they were told it was sold out. I guess we went on a very busy day as we spent the majority of our time waiting in lines. We waited over an hour for The Tsunami. There only appeared to be 2-3 of the bobsleds active, which contributed to this wait time. Staff members were bringing a water hose to the line up for people to cool off and drink from ,which was appreciated as it was incredibly hot and many people would have passed out from heatstroke without it. With all the waiting in the various lines we were only able to do 4-5 slides, once each, the whole day. When we got down from the Tsunami someone has stolen my girlfriend’s FILA sandals. A very strange thing to take, but they were gone. We didn’t have time for the lazy river as it was closed by the time we got to it with all the waiting in lines. In terms of slides they are fun, but most waterparks these days have some sort of green light system when it’s your time to go vs a lifeguard saying go. There was only one lifeguard on many rides watching over 3-4 different slides. The lines could likely move faster if there were two lifeguards working the slides or if there was a green light system. Without the lines I would go back as the slides are fun, but there are many changes that should be made. Next time I would try going on a random weekday to try to...
