Champlain Lookout at Gatineau Park is an absolute gem that left us in awe during our recent visit. We decided to venture out on a weekday evening, just around sunset, expecting a quiet and tranquil experience. To our pleasant surprise, the lookout was bustling with activity, despite the fact that the buses had already stopped running for the day.

As we arrived, the sight of numerous cars and motorcycles parked at the lookout only heightened our anticipation for what awaited us. And boy, were we not disappointed! The view from Champlain Lookout was nothing short of breathtaking. From the moment we stepped onto the observation deck, we were greeted with a panoramic vista that stretched out as far as the eye could see.

The setting sun cast a golden glow upon the surrounding landscape, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, while the lush greenery of Gatineau Park spread out below us. It felt as if we were on top of the world, with a privileged vantage point to witness nature's grandeur unfolding before our very eyes.

The vista from Champlain Lookout allowed us to take in the entirety of the area, providing a sweeping view of the rolling hills, expansive forests, and sparkling waterways that make Gatineau Park such a remarkable destination. It was an enchanting sight, one that truly made us appreciate the beauty of the Canadian outdoors.

We highly recommend visiting Champlain Lookout to anyone seeking a memorable experience in Gatineau Park. However, it is important to note that reaching the lookout does take some time, so it's wise to plan accordingly. The journey to the top may require a bit of patience, but trust us when we say that the reward is more than worth it.

Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photography lover, or simply someone seeking tranquility and serenity, Champlain Lookout will exceed your expectations. The stunning vistas, especially during the magical moments of sunrise or sunset, will leave an indelible impression on your heart and soul.

So, gather your loved ones, pack a picnic, and set aside a few hours to experience the beauty that awaits you at Champlain Lookout. Gatineau Park's crown jewel is ready to take your breath away and leave you with memories to cherish...

A must see for tourists and locals as well. During summer its Greenery with sun shine reflecting from the river; yet still beautiful. During fall as you see its a picturesque scene. The color are far beyond beauty more than what my camera could serve... The area is on top of a hill so you have a scenic view. There are many trails to hike n walk around as well. Just be cautious and be aware and prepared as trails vary in difficulty. There are wildlife if you do go for a hike. Read before and be prepared. You can drive through and still enjoy the view if you decide to stay in and just drive. Parking is limited but plentiful areas you can park and walk around and explore. It was busy even on a rainy cool...

This is a beautiful area, at the tail end of it the Champlain Parkway. We drove out along the parkway this afternoon. I will say most people are attempting to drive entirely too fast through the park - there are far too many hills and sharp turns to be going fast. Go slow and think about what you're doing people!

The lookout itself is stunning! It offers a great view of the Eardley Escarpment and a nice little trail that is down to one-way traffic...though there are enough people who seem to be incapable of noticing such things.

The lookout should be accessible to most people, especially in Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons when you can drive to the lookout. Despite what Google Maps...
