The bottom is a mix of sharp rocks, mushy sand, and weeds(maybe bring water shoes if you can) but otherwise it is a very nice , clean beach to spend the day at. Tons of space to set up a space without crowding other people and lots of shade (I'd still recommend bringing a beach umbrella as the shady spots get claimed fast.) Only downside is that it is legal to smoke on public beaches in Quebec, so we saw a lot of that, but most of the smokers were very courteous to stand downwind or step away from the beach area without us even having to notice...

It's very open, and especially after 2 pm, there is a decrease in people, which is pleasant, and allows the feeling of being out in the wild to properly set in, especially with the small mountain area at the very end, an area for people and kids to jump off into the lake for fun.
