Definitely not an “off leash” dog park! Two busy roads surround the park with nothing preventing dogs from escaping. Perhaps in the summer the large ponds are a barrier or at least a deterrent but I visited in the winter when the water was frozen over, so there was literally nothing between my dog and running out into the world and never coming back.

We were passing through on a long road trip, looking for a place our dog could run and stretch his legs and socialize. All of the other reviews I read made it seem as though this was fully fenced, as you would expect of an off leash park. I have literally no idea why they would go to such an effort of having a long fence with a secure entrance and exit if the fence was just going to end abruptly!?

I’m sure some people have very well trained dogs, and do not need to worry about two busy roads surrounding the unfenced space, but it’s by no means an off leash dog park for all. If you are not 100% certain your dog will listen when you call, this is...

Contrary to what it says on the web site this park is only partially fenced and bordered mostly by the river. While this is great for water access on hot days it also has a lot of bird activity and if you have a dog that follows its nose (I have beagles/spaniels) then you will lose them to chasing birds and swimming, possibly to the other side of the creek, which is also not fenced, whether you want that or not. Otherwise it is beautiful and large enough for great dog chases but not dependable for...

Great place to let your dog socialize and exercise. If your dog likes to swim they can cool off in the creek. The path in the fenced park is 1.5 km around. The main entrance to the park has a proper gate system to allow dogs and owners to go in one side while others can leave the other gates without dogs interaction.

Beautifully large dog park. Plenty of space to run and play. Good sized water hole to get drinks and swim on hot days. Plenty of benches for dog parents to rest. Dog poop bags provided at entrance in case you forget. People and dogs at park were kind and playful.
