McDonald Beach Park Picnic Area — Attraction in Richmond

Perfect place for a picnic or relaxing walk along the dyke. Washroom is available and it is next to a great dog park. There is a beach close by but no swimming allowed. Easy accessible from Vancouver or Richmond by bike or cars. Parking is never a problem here. The park offer a boat launch as well. It is amazing that such a place exist right next to a busy airport. If you can find a bench under the trees on a hot day near the boat launch, you'll never want to leave. Be sure to bring a jacket just in case as the breeze can make it chilly after a while. There's only like 7 benches so hopefully you can find a spot as it can get full. The park/beach side is alright; it starts as a small park then you'll see the beach below. I don't think it's swimmable though. Overall, it's a very small but great spot to chill out and watch...
