As you drive on the road adjoining the shore it is hard to miss the beached submarine and you want to tour this even if you didnt plan for it!
Arriving at the ticketing station early helps, especially as there is a crowd surge as the day progresses. Plenty of parking is available at site, including for camper vans as well. At the ticket centre you can buy 3 types of tickets / packages: For all the exhibits - Submarine + Empress Musuem + Lighthouse For individual exhibits or in pairs
The submarine exhibit includes tickets and an audio phone kind of device which gives you a talking tour, you also have an option to rent a tablet which has a video talkathon of the entire submarine. The exhibit is well maintained and gives one an insiders view of what life was on a Canadian submarine.

Read moreI trully enjoyed this 1-hour tour on the submarine. Tourists are supplied with an audio guide which has a few language options. Even though you are not acompanied by a professional guide due to limited space on board, the tour is well structured and the audio device is doing its job quite well. Very informative for all ages. I think some historians would feel like they enhenced their knowledge as well as young kids should have some great questions to ask...
