I visited this park twice in 2022. The first time in April when there was still snow and the next time in June. The main building is open now and there are lots of gorgeous exhibits in it. It’s free to visit and you’ll learn a lot. Staff are friendly and helpful.
I’ve visited this nature park several times in the last year. We came in August 2021 to photograph Perseud’s meteor showers. I visited again in April 2022 and recently in June 2022. The lake is gorgeous all year round and I always enjoy hiking and photographing the lake and forests and little bridges.    Read moreThe trail is a nice walk. The interpretive center means well, but sorta falls short on execution. There were 2 interpreters there, who give you the speech that it's not a museum and you can touch anything not labeled as do no touch. It held my kids attention for about 5 minutes. The observation room in neat, bit the windows were all grimy and you could barely look through them with the available binoculars. In all honesty, the center was a glorified rest stop. So you might be wondering why I'd give a goose-less goose sanctuary five stars and rightly so. I think there have been geese here and they've left. Flown south. But I have faith that the geese will return one day. Perhaps next spring. There is a nice hike around the lake, you might see some geese on this hike....
