Yearlong Late Review:
We made a brief stop here in the first week of September 2023. Often passing through this park due to its proximity to Winnipeg, we found it to be a perfect geographical landmark. It offers free parking, a graffiti board, two huge red chairs, and large planters with lovely flowering plants.
However, the site could benefit from some enhancements to improve functionality and visitor experience. Adding a visitor center, a small café, and picnic tables would be nice. More shade or trees, a gift shop for souvenirs, and restrooms would also be thoughtful additions.
Public artworks by local artists could educate visitors about the province’s historical, cultural, and natural heritage. Hosting programs and cross-cultural festivals could transform this site into a vibrant community hub.
Despite these suggestions, it still earns my 5-star respect for being undisturbed and not disrupting the area’s...

Read moreAwesome, nice that they made it a place to pull off the highway to take a picture. It was pretty dangerous to do that before they built this. Not much more than the sign, flags and a place to park or sit. Still, much better. Hopefully they'll add more in the future. It's on the North side of the TransCanada. I hope they add more features in the future. Better signage giving people a head's up about it would also help. Even knowing it was built, I still passed it and had to go back. Maybe some Manitoba Attractions signage? The ones in blue with the star? I think that would help a lot. All in all, much better than pulling off on the side of a busy highway to...
