Lillas Fawcett Park — Attraction in Sackville

On my commute between Moncton and Amherst I ventured off track and found this park. It is a nice little spot and I was able to relax a bit before I got back on the road home. It looks good for families with a small play area with swings, The restrooms were clean and the picnic area, though small, is functional for a small group gathering. Beautiful lake, water wasn't as clear as I expected it to be, but they keep the waters tested. Nice park for the children, changing rooms, washrooms, even lifeguards for the swimming area. The waterfront is sandy, and there's a special kind of carpet so a wheelchair can make it straight down...

Great place to go for a swim or relax with the family. Lifeguards on duty and you can rent kayaks from the rental shop next door. They also provide a play area for kids, free parking, and changing rooms.

Would like more picnic tables but this is a really nice place to go for a picnic or the day...
