Parc de la Rivière-du-Moulin — Attraction in Saguenay

Another hidden gem with great nature to explore close up. They have a new site facility and a great cafeteria style restaurant and good at good prices. They weigh your entrees and salads by how large a portion you would take. The authentic "Tourtiere" is made under supervision of a Chef who ensures great tasting Quebec style dishes. Bravo chef ! The site itself has many walkways along the river canyon walls of varying lengths for novice to intermediate walks with some suspension bridges over the river and rocks. Fun stuff. Also a great 360 immersive video theatre that shows us the story of how the river, canyon and caves came to be. Very innovative and an enjoyable 20 minutes. You have to attend to get the full effects I won't say anymore about the video, however, if your feeling truly adventurist you can try their zip line over the canyon to the tiny platform on the far side, then you have to climb out of the situation...... Looks like fun for the more adventure minded tourist. Enjoy this place and the people who work here are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our 3 hours here very much. Parc bien situé et bien équipé en toute saison. Grand stationnement gratuit avec chalet et centre de location d'équipement. L'hiver il y a une grande patinoire et aussi des plus petites pour les apprentis ou ceux qui veulent simplement patiner. Il y a aussi des modules de jeux et des balançoires pour les enfants pendant les mois plus chauds.

Sentiers pour tous et accessibles en toute saison. Ils ont d'ailleurs été récemment rallongés avec des sections en bois au bord de la rivière et se rendent jusqu'à Rivière du Moulin. Je conseille vivement à tous. De toute beauté!

Vous y trouverez certaines plantes comestibles, comme des bleuets et des framboises sauvages, du thé des bois, etc. Alors apportez un petit contenant si vous voulez faire une petite cueillette!

Attention! Il s'agit d'un parc nature et ceci implique que vous pourriez faire la rencontre de certain animaux, notamment des ours! Quoi que ce dernier soit généralement rare il a néanmoins déjà été rapporté. Il serait peut-être avisé d'avoir en votre possession du poivre à ours, surtout si vous vous aventurez un peu plus loin que...
