Warning! Long Review!! My father & I planned a weeklong cycling trip this past August. Setting up reservations for shuttling us to Mont-Laurier, along w/ our bicycles & luggage was easy, efficient & fairly-priced. The shuttle experience was safe & comfortable. The coffee/rest break was very nice. The daily luggage shuttling service went very smoothly & felt like a luxury! The best part of our experience though was how Frederique helped us when we had a major setback the night before we were scheduled to be shuttled from Saint-Jerome. My father expected to ride his ebike 4 days, with a rest day in between, on the L'Ptit Train du Nord. It turned out that the bike's battery didn't make the trip! My father found this out at 9:30pm! Uh oh!! We were expected to check-in at the Autobus le Petit Train du Nord HQ the next day by 7:15am! We immediately sent an email to the company explaining our dilemma hoping that we could somehow rent a bicycle (hoping for an ebike) at the last minute. We knew we weren't going to receive an answer until the next day, so needless to say, it was a long night. The next day... We were eating breakfast & around 6:30am, I received a response from Frederique. After providing my father's measurements, she said that a bicycle was available! The Best Western Saint-Jerome (also a fantastic establishment) allowed us to lock my father's ebike in their bike closet for the week. We drove to the HQ to check-in & Frederique was there to assist us. She explained that the only bicycle available was a mechanical hybrid, not an ebike, but suggested that my father start the trip riding it & when we arrived in Mont-Tremblant, we should stop in Giant Mont-Tremblant bicycle shop to see if we could rent an ebike for the last 2 days of our trip. Frederique took the time to make sure the bicycle was in good order & that my father felt comfortable before we boarded the shuttle. 2 Days Later... After a few phone calls, my father arranged, with Frederique's help, to drop off their mechanical, hybrid bicycle at Giant Mont-Tremblant & rent an ebike from the bicycle shop for the remainder of our trip. Frederique also arranged for the bicycle exchange after we finished our cycling adventure. From the beginning, Frederique assured us that everything would work out & it did! We had a fantastic time! I booked a bike trip along petit train du nord a month in advance, only for the worst forest fires in recent history to ravage quebec days before my trip. air quality warnings were issued to limit outdoor activity due to ongoing health concerns. I preemptively looked to cancel my trip 4 days in advance given that dozens of forest fire were actively ablaze and unpredictable (and in relatively close proximity to the trail) and were more than likely to continue into my trip. I was told that my booking was nonrefundable as there policy is to cancel 5 days in advance. they were unwilling to modify their cancellation policy for an unprecedented force majeure event. for a company that exists solely because of outdoor activity, it is disappointing that they would encourage proceeding with the trip during an air...
