The restaurant looks amazing but the service and food is definitely lacking. My husband and I ate there this evening for the first time on a Monday, we showed up around 5:50pm. We got a table promptly. The menu was already on the table and we made our choices. It took 20 minutes for the server to welcome us and to take our drink order. The drinks came approximately 10 minutes later. The cocktails were great. The server came to take our meal choice another 15 minutes after that. It took almost 25 minutes to receive one appetizer. We shared the 'fondue au fromage' thinking we could both have 2 pieces each since the plate cost 12.99. Well the appetizer has two pieces of cheese only. We thought it was expensive for the quantity but it was hot and tasty. Our we proceeded to wait for our main meal. The couple next to us arrived 20 minutes after us, ordered and received their meals before us. So we got there at 5:50 and finally got our main meal at 7:30! I ordered the club sandwich with sweet potato fries and my husband ordered the ultimate cheese burger. The club and the burger were both cold but our fries were piping hot. The hamburger bun was dry and the meat patty was overcooked and not juicy. Our server didn't come to see how we were doing, so we didn't have a chance to mention that our meals were cold. Once we were done, we ordered a shaker coffee and a pouding chômeur. Both were really good and the dessert portion was huge, definitely enough to share. Overall, the service was mediocre at best and it took much too long on a Monday night to order and receive anything. Our appetizer was very small for the price, the main meals were cold except for the fries, the drinks were excellent, you got good value for the dessert. Some positives and some negatives but having two cold and dry main meals, very very slow and inattentive service will stop us from coming again. I had a really nice lunch here today. It was a beautiful day outside and we got to enjoy it on the covered patio, which was lovely!
The restaurant itself is super cute, clean and has great decor. I loved that the building itself is an old brick police building. I also enjoyed their “Mad Love” sign above the bar.
The service was good, especially after we noticed only 2 people were working the many tables. It was very helpful that they provided menus in English, as we were visiting from California and unfortunately do not speak French.
They have a great selection of food and drink options and the food itself was very tasty. If I wasn’t driving, I would have definitely tried one of their yummy looking shaker drinks. My husband and I shared the:

Cette semaine je suis retournée pour une deuxième fois à ce restaurant qui a ouvert ses portes en 2021.
La première fois, j’avais donné RDV à un ami pour y prendre un cocktail en après-midi sur la terrasse un weekend d’été. J’avais choisi un Negroni et lui une bière. C’était excellent. Je voyais passer les plats et les présentations étaient attrayantes.
J’y suis retournée un mercredi soir d’automne, la température très chaude pour la saison se prêtait bien à un souper sur la terrasse. Mon père m’accompagnait cette fois.
Dès notre arrivée devant l’ancienne caserne de pompier, le coup d’œil est intéressant avec de beaux arrangements d’automne qui longe la terrasse et le mur jusqu’à la porte d’entrée. L’aménagement intérieur est aussi très bien avec entre autre des tables au fond du restaurant sur divers niveaux ce qui permet d’avoir un beau coup d’œil sur la salle et le bar. Il y a plusieurs écrans de télévision avec une retransmission sportive.
Il y a aussi un espace à l’intérieur pour un chanteur/musicien. Nous l’avons vu à l’œuvre lorsque nous avons quitté. Je trouvais que la musique était forte dehors, j’ai compris que c’est lui que nous entendions. Le niveau de décibel était un peu trop élevé à mon goût. Mon père est âgé et il peinait à m’entendre ainsi que la serveuse quand nous lui parlions, je devais souvent élever la voix pour qu’il comprenne mon propos.
La terrasse comporte des unités chauffantes sur pied qui n’était pas nécessaire le soir de notre visite. Les tables sont assez espacées les unes des autres.
Pour le repas, nous avons opté pour une bavette de boeuf avec frites et salade et un hamburger fancy avec frites.
La présentation pour la bavette était superbe, celle pour le hamburger est assez ordinaire. Les frites et le hamburger se confondait avec la couleur du bois de la planche sur laquelle ils étaient posés. Il y avait des graines de pavot sur le pain, ce qui donnait un petit accent de couleur. J’avais opté pour une bière rousse en fût pour accompagner mon repas.
Pour le goût, j’ai aussi préféré la bavette, elle était très bien apprêtée et goûteuse, elle se coupait aussi très facilement. Pour le hamburger, il était aussi bien. Mais la boulette de viande ne semblait pas préparée avec de la viande fraîche, elle était trop parfaite dans sa rondeur et son épaisseur ce qui me fait penser que les boulettes sont préparées à l’avance dans un mélangeur, mise en forme avec un moule et congelée. Les condiments : fromage et oignons confits rehaussaient de beaucoup le goût. Les frites étaient excellentes, fines, croustillantes et chaudes.
La prochaine fois, je me propose de goûter un tartare puisque les presentations semblaient beaucoup plus attrayantes que mon plat.
Le service était excellent et attentionné. Toutefois, je déplore que les serveuses aient encore à porter des tenues aussi légères afin de maximiser leurs pourboires. Parlant de pourboire, lorsque vient le moment de payer, l’appareil est calibré pour un premier choix de pourboire automatique à 18%. Il y a aussi l’option d’ajuster le pourcentage du pourboire et peut-être aussi l’option de mettre un montant en argent mais comme je n’utilise pas cette option, je n’ai porté attention.
Je compte retourner éventuellement à ce restaurant qui est une belle option au centre-ville...
