Alice Lake is a wonderful destination for families looking to enjoy some time outdoors not too far from Vancouver. The lake is located in a stunning setting, surrounded by trees and mountains, making it the perfect place to enjoy a variety of water activities during the summer months.
Visitors can bring their own kayaks, paddleboards, and other watercraft to explore the lake and take in the beautiful scenery. The water is clean and clear, and there are plenty of areas for swimming and playing in the water.
During the other seasons, Alice Lake is a great spot for picnicking and relaxing with family and friends. There are plenty of picnic tables and other amenities, making it easy to spend a day enjoying the outdoors.
One of the only drawbacks to Alice Lake is the lack of parking during the summer months. The lot can fill up quickly, so it's best to arrive early or carpool if possible. However, the park is well-maintained and organized, with plenty of signage and helpful staff to guide you along the way.
Overall, I highly recommend Alice Lake for anyone looking for a family-friendly outdoor experience not too far from Vancouver. Whether you're looking to enjoy water activities during the summer or picnicking and relaxing during the other seasons, this park has something for everyone. The stunning location and abundance of amenities make it a true gem in British Columbia's...
Read moreI visisted Alice Lake with my girlfriend at the time back in 2012. We thought it would be an amazing place to take the kids camping. This week we went and stayed 2 nights there and we will never come back for a camping trip.
The staff is very snotty. We were told not to leave food out over night. However when we left for about an hour we came back and had out coolers of food removed from our site. We were told that it may attract bears because the site was unattended. We had neighbors to our right and left who were present at the time, also my daughter and brother in law were at the lake swimming and came back shortly after this happened. The girl we had to speak to was rude, and snotty.
I understand and agree that we need to protect our wildlife. However if a bear is hungry I doubt that he will care if people are present or not if he decides to wander into a camp site.
The girl who checked us in did not give us all the information, and then when the coolers were removed and we spoke to another girl we were told we had a warning ticket written to us and if there were any other infractions we would be...

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the serenity of the surroundings. The towering trees and the tranquil lake make for a picturesque backdrop that takes your breath away. Our campsite was well-maintained, and the campfire under the starry sky was a perfect way to end the day.
What really made our trip special was the family-friendly atmosphere. The kids had a blast exploring the area, and the availability of paddle boarding at the lake was a big hit. It's a fantastic way to enjoy the pristine waters and soak in the serene ambiance.
