I wanted to start by thanking the team at Club Roma for all of the hard work that went in to the set up of our wedding. Our décor and details for placement were extensive, and Monika and the team did an incredible job. It looked truly SO beautiful and the attention to detail was so appreciated. Club Roma was absolutely amazing to work with - especially through the craziness of covid postponements. During the planning process Monika was absolutely amazing. The amount of emails, questions, phone calls and the patience she took to answer every single question was so appreciated. Her service and expertise to help us plan our day was 110%. Our wedding didn’t feel like another number, it felt special and unique all thanks to Monika’s help and guidance. As our guests arrived and throughout the entire evening there were comments about how beautiful the venue was. Guests felt like they were transported to Italy - and coming from my Italian family you know it’s genuine. The lights, the atmosphere, the food and drinks were outstanding. The Aperol spritz at the cocktail hour were a huge hit and just added to the overall beautiful Italian atmosphere. The passed canapés and meal were fantastic. The food was hot, served at an appropriate time, and plentiful! The bar service was awesome - and especially patient with the amount of drinks being ordered in large groups. The servers were amazing!! They did such a great job taking care of our guests. Our server brought my husband and I a bottle of sparkling wine in its own ice bucket for us to have at our seats. She also covered our plates as we got busy during dinner with conversations and photos so that our meal was still warm when we returned to our seats. All the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The value for money at Club Roma is exceptional. Our wedding was in the pavilion. The grounds are meticulously upkept, with lots of areas for pictures, and there is ample parking for guests. No need to stress about a rain backup as the venue is completely covered. Your guests will have a fabulous time, and you will be thrilled that you selected a venue that takes care of every detail for you and provides an all encompassing price for your convenience. Our family and friends left with memories that will last a lifetime and many amazing compliments about our wedding. Thank you so much Monika & the...
Read moreI had my wedding here. Everything was fine until a week before my wedding when my supposed coordinator went on a vacation so she didn't have time to see me and my husband for our final meet.
Club Roma is a beautiful venue but I was disappointed with the coordinator they assigned me. She was a new hire and was clueless. She messed up my ceremony procession. I had already assigned the role to guide the wedding party walk to a friend because like I said my coordinator was not around during the last phase of planning so she missed my notes on procession timing. She took over and was confident that she knew the timing. Guess what? She didnt have a clue.
Next up, she didnt assist my guests to the Pavilion where my cocktail hour was supposed to be. This was already planned months in advance but she messed it up big time. My guests did not know where to go.
Lastly, the venue messed up the seating. This is ridiculous. If only my coordinator was around 1 week before, then she would have nailed the seating. I even notified her the night before, about the seats being off. She said she'd fix it but surprise surprise, day of, my guests didnt know where to seat because the seating chart did not match the seating! And then when I asked her to coordinate with my DJ about the order of events, she told me it wasnt her job. Thats literally a job description for coordinators. To coordinate! The venue had a copy of my program because they asked for it. So what was that for?? So my husband and I were left with no choice but to coordinate with the DJ ourselves. My gosh. She was so useless she left early.
What could have been a perfect night was ruined by actual venue! I gave detailed plans months ahead. She was even confident that we had enough time to plan.
She ruined my plans. I wish I had trusted my gut and asked for a different coordinator.
If you were assigned to Samantha, pls request for a different one. The day didnt go smoothly because of her lack of coordination with my vendors. Her performance or lack thereof was very unreasonable for the amount of money paid!
Club Roma shouldnt have given her my account! She should have been given an assistant coordinator role and not the coordinator being so new!
They...
Read moreMy husband and I celebrated our wedding in the Garden Pavilion at Club Roma this summer and only have positive things to say about the experience!
We toured many venues in the Niagara region including several wineries, and while the properties were beautiful, the packages other venues offered did not even come close to Club Roma in terms of value.
We loved that the Pavilion provided the outdoor and nature-inspired feeling of many of the local wineries, but with much more inclusive options! The Pavilion is absolutely stunning, especially later in the season when the surrounding gardens and foliage are full and lush.
Other than any decor/florals and personal touches we wanted, we didn't have to worry about sourcing anything else. Club Roma provided everything and had plenty of staff working the day of our wedding to help everything run smoothly.
Our guests absolutely loved the food - the antipasto bar was a hit, and the plated meal was great as well. Having good food was a non-negotiable and Club Roma did not disappoint.
Monika was our assigned coordinator and she was wonderful to work with - super organized and detail oriented. We had several Zoom calls with her prior to the wedding to plan our Big Day. She was excellent!
A couple minor things to be mindful of regarding the Pavilion: as it is classified as an outdoor venue, the Pavilion is not air conditioned. The large ceiling fan does help to circulate air, but there is no official air conditioning system (may not be an issue depending on the season) The second detail to mention is the possibility of mosquitos as the sun sets. Our coordinator did mention that we could provide a basket of bug spray for our guests (we opted not to due to the strong smell) but you could certainly provide some if you wish. Both details are completely understandable for a semi-outdoor venue but worth mentioning if you are considering the Pavilion.
Overall, we had a beautiful wedding in the Pavilion and our guests (and us) were more than happy! Thank you Club Roma for a wonderful and memorable...
