Visited the museum for their Irish High Tea the week before St Patricks Day. Such an amazing room to eat in. Loved the assortment of savory and sweet treats (and the potato ball thingy was delicious). Also loved their special tea mixture, so flavourful. All the staff were amazing, ready to answer questions, explain all the food that was part of our meal, and offered a little bit of history (as it's a museum after all). We felt very welcome. They mentioned that they'd be offering High Tea more frequently during the summer months. Treat yourself. It was really good.

Went there last summer and enjoyed having an english tea/meal. There was more food than expected, and all fresh and delicious! The teacups the tea was served in were really beautiful and the museum was really interesting. Lots of old pictures and postcards, and all the objects in the house are from the actual family that used to live there. So everything feels homely and you can see how that family lived. I really enjoyed it... Will definitly go back next summer.

Very nice setup for a tea experience. Very helpful, welcoming and agréable staff We would have liked to see them properly dressed in line with the museum atmosphere. Very nice gardens with a picture. An experience to recommand.

First time at the museum located in a former Victorian mansion owned by a wealthy ET family. It's now managed by the Stanstead Historical Society.

My companion and I were given a tour of a exhibit featuring early local women groups. A multi-media treat for anyone interested in early ET history. The exhibit on the second floor covers two rooms filled with memorabilia, posters, texts and photographs.

The tour guide was informative and engaging, fully bilingual and personable. A real gem!

We also toured the remaining rooms in the former family home. I felt the draw of an earlier time and a touch of what it must gave been like before the modern era.

Located not far from the American border in Stanstead with easy and free street parking. Tea service available at certain times and dates. Conservatory available for rent with catered meals.

A stroll back in time for the curious and...
