Summerland Ornamental Gardens — Attraction in Summerland

Had honeymoon at Summerland and was told this place was awesome! But early April doesn't have anything. Nothing is blooming, just starting to grow. We couldn't find the other trails to the train tracks. See pictures.

I wish we had time to do this during summer. This place would have been lovely because the name of the plants are supposed to have nice blooms.

A lovely ornamental garden. Spread out over a wide area, so it will take you a bit of time to explore. We were there near the end of May so a lot of the flowers were late spring blooms. From what I saw, you would potentially see more/different flowers blooming throughout the summer. Entrance is by donation. $5 is recommended. The Friends of the Summerland Ornamental Gardens volunteer group do an absolutely amazing job on the upkeep of these gardens. Great garden ideas for the region. A great place for a picnic. Overlooks the KVR trestle and if you time it right you can get great photo opportunities of the train on it. Be sure to check out the spring garden sales.
