Lakeshore Park & Beach — Attraction in Vernon

I bring my dog here a lot for her to cool off and to go swimming. We haven't had any issues, and shes always off leash. There is a lot of geese poop, but once you get to the water it seems to be okay. I myself wouldn't swim there, but it's perfect for her. Lots of sticks to throw into the water, and it's pretty shallow for the most part. Ducks come and say hi sometimes, but Ive never actually seen Geese there.

EDIT: I don't know why but this summer this location has been horrible. The water smelled so bad both times we went. The first time I unfortunately didn't stop my dog before she went into the water and she got swimmers itch. I will be taking her elsewhere now. ): A shame, it was such a nice...

I am giving Lakeshore Beach one star because of the quality of water. It’s dirty, muddy and smelly. There is no reason to go to this beach when Kalamalka lake is cleaner, clearer and clutter free.

Although the park is beautiful and I give that 5 stars. Has nice swings and a bocce ball out. Excellent when you need to challenge a relative for bragging rights

This reviewer will not be going back when there are many better beaches on...

My experience at this place was not very good, if you have a big dog or any dog for that matter you have to keep them on a leash (even if they are swimming and playing in the water). The beach was alright but nothing special, and the only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it had sand instead of rocks on the bottom. 2/5 would definitely not recommend if you have a dog especially a big dog...
