Paddlewheel Park & Beach — Attraction in Vernon

This park by far has my least favourite beach in the whole Okanagan. The sand is very fine and dirty (almost black in some places), there’s too much geese poop, the swim area is very close to the boats and is quite small. Parking lot is very dusty. The grassy area of the park itself fine, the view is also beautiful and the playground is quite nice, but the beach itself is ruining...

Great park and my daughter absolutely loves to stop here and play on the swings and many other pieces of equipment that they have. I find that there is always parking and that Incan launch my boat when needed. The background is stunning and one of my favorite places in Vernon. Great beach, great park. Not crowded at all, and warm shallow area for kids to play. Awesome views, and near the airport, so if you enjoy watching planes and helicopters taking off, or coming in for a landing, you're in a great spot. Also, the Sternwheeler Museum is there, so you can learn about the long history...
