Not maintained in winter, so watch out and stay to brick path (even when under water), as some snow drifts off to the sides are close to a meter deep, but level with the rest of the ground, such that when the snow is crusty on top, you can suddenly drop quite a bit and nearly lose a shoe. But it's a great Canadian icon, and a rite of passage when crossing the great lakes, and I'm proud to see them keep it in good shape. Not sure how costly it would be to keep it running in the winter. We all know that Covid was hard on little towns with hotels and restaurants that suffered when things were shut down. Wawa‘s hotels appear to have come through the challenge and are doing strong.
