On May the 26 at approximately 11:30 am on our way through Wawa we stopped for a quick bite to eat. Not knowing what I wanted I did not check the dietary page. I expected that the employees would have some knowledge of their products. I wanted to order the steak and egg sandwich and repeatedly asked if the meat was spiced by the manufacturer. I am allergic to Black Pepper and on a sodium free diet. Both the cashier and another older employee guaranteed that it was not spiced. I was wondering why the cashier was not putting my order through, then she asked if we were going to order coffee. If I wanted coffee I would have ask for it. I informed her that I am allergic to Caffeine. When I pulled off the tiniest amount of beef with no sauce on it, all I could taste was pure salt. My husband ate the steak sandwich as I did not realize that it came with sauce on it. I returned and asked for the bacon and egg sandwich on an English muffin. I asked 4 times what other ingredients were on the sandwich. The answer I received was "the usual". Since I have never ordered a breakfast sandwich I had no idea what "the usual" was. Finally she reluctantly told me the other ingredients. At the time I was the only person placing an order inside the restaurant. I asked for nothing on the sandwich other than the egg and bacon only. The sandwich was placed on the counter in record time and when the cashier asked if it had cheese on it the girl snatched it off of the counter. Soon the store was full of new customers each receiving their orders before me. A gentleman waiting for his order asked what was so special about my order that I had been waiting so long. I finally gave up and asked for a refund. A very nice employee who was giving out the orders looked on the register and commented that she could not find my order. The cashier was very abrupt when I asked for a refund and another employee noticed that I had been waiting for 6 minutes for my order. The original person who made my order wrong kept staring at me giving me the impression that she purposely did not make my order. I paid with a Tims card that I was given as a gift and was not offered a receipt for either purchase that I had made. By that time I was so frustrated that I did not notice that I did not get a receipt. so I do not have any record of the exact time or how much is left on my card. I called someone that I know who has worked at Tim Hortons for over 10 years. She told me that the item I ordered takes 30 seconds to make. She also said that they make special orders all the time and what I asked for was very simple. I was also told that they are not trained about any of the ingredients in the items that they use. They are only taught how to make the items on the menu. I was not going to post this review online. I had intended to contact Tim Horton's directly but I was not going to sign up for an account just to send a...
Read moreTraveling through Ontario so our first stop was the bathroom. It was disgusting, toilet paper everywhere, there was green in the sink, the tap only worked for 2 seconds at a time and the hand dryer wasn't working. After leaving the bathroom feeling disgusting, we were met with a disappointing horror of a service. We asked for a sausage classic bagel sandwich, they repeated back that we ordered a belt sandwich and we had to tell them multiple times and even point to the menu where the classic bagel sandwich was. We were waiting for our food and noticed that the ice coffee we ordered that they were making was filled with 8 pumps of whatever they put in it. Was not satisfied with it when we got it. They repeated our order back to us when they gave it to us and for some reason they said we ordered an English muffin, which we did not. We had to argue that was not what we ordered. Eventually they "remade" it. All they did was take the same toppings from the old sandwich and put it onto a bagel, which is very unsanitary as they had already handed us the bag, therefore the food was already passed over the counter. This was the last straw, we asked for a refund and at first they were only going to refund us for the food. We said we wanted a full refund for everything as we were incredibly unsatisfied. As we were waiting for the card to go through there were two female staff trying to figure out what they were doing and one man that was just standing at the register with his arms crossed staring at us. We had to use tap as the chip wasn't working and it was declined twice, they offered to give us cash and we took it. Throughout this entire time there were no apologies or sympathy when asked about the man there was no explanation and he didn't say anything to us. We left and will never be coming back. Our entire group has all been in the restaurant and customer service industry for many years and we were all incredibly disappointed by the teams...
Read moreI’m glad to be part of the community. At least we were treated no better than anyone else — so, “YAY!” for that.
I visited this location with a group of friends, and we all placed separate orders. Here’s a quick summary of our experience:
To start with the most apparent issue — the staff clearly lacked proper training. It became even more obvious when the manager failed to show up after being requested multiple times. We had several concerns to address, including:
Why did it take so long for our orders to be prepared?
Why were there hair strands in our wrap?
Why did we only find out after 50 minutes of waiting that four-cheese bagels had been out of stock since morning?
Why were we told that our bowls had already been served when we never received them — and why did the staff refuse to acknowledge their mistake?
Adding to the frustration, when we politely asked for an update on our bagel order (placed 20 minutes earlier), a staff member at the sandwich counter shouted, “IT WILL AT LEAST BE 20 MINUTES, DON’T EXPECT ANYTHING PRIOR TO THAT!” — an unnecessary and unprofessional response to a simple question.
For the record, the person who responded this way was "Piyush" — the same staff member mentioned in other reviews for not wearing a beard net, which was also the case during our visit.
Honestly, you'd be better off driving two hours to Sault Ste. Marie — at least by the time you get there, place your order, and eat in peace, you'd still be ahead compared to how long it takes here. Plus, there's a good chance your food will actually be correct, hair-free, and served with a basic level of professionalism — what a concept, right?
Overall, this seems like an untrained team working under a manager who avoids responsibility and lacks leadership. The only silver lining was Andrew and Lester — the two individuals who actually listened, understood, and made an effort to resolve things. Thank you to...
