I was recommended Kalala by the staff at the Little Straw Winery, (which I would conversely recommend). The positives: + Fantastic outdoor scenery +Nice and unique tasting presentation as a “flight of wine”. Cool to see a change-up of sorts. The not-so-positives: - compared to other local wineries the product isn’t as tasty. - $20 for a tasting flight of wine! Yikes. And this few IS NOT waived upon purchase. - the wines were delivered to our table but not explained. No story told about the winery, no mystique, here’s your wine. Just not what I’ve come to expect from Kelowna wineries. - we were asked to clean up and return our own glasses after the tasting. Not that I’m above lending a hand, however for 4 tastings @ $20, plus tax, PLUS TIP, I think our table can be cleared. Three out of five stars I feel is a higher than I would like to score, mostly bolstered by the stunning scenery. The management just needs to land on planet earth and make a more competitive menu and reasonable tasting pricing and incentives to attract would-be wine lovers.

This winery was not one we planned on visiting but I’m so glad we did! There is a beautiful outdoor seating area where you can have your wine flight and can eat your own picnic lunch! I also have a 5 year old and a 3 year old that were more than entertained by the yard games and the green space to run around! The wines were fantastic (between my mother in law and myself we ended up buying 7 bottles 😬🤣) Simran (daughter of the owner/future owner 😉) came over to our table and told us the story of the winery and some very interesting facts about Kelowna wine history. It was a nice personal touch that even my boys enjoyed having! We will definitely be heading back here every time we come back to Kelowna and cannot wait to try the wines at their other winery, Little Straw Winery.

This is my second time visiting Kalala from out of province. Kalala is one of my most favourite wineries in the whole world. Even after travelling through Italy, Kalala remains top 5 wineries for my husband and I. I find even though we usually only like red wine, all of Kalala’s wines are consistently fantastic and enjoyable. Our favourite wine is Aspire. Also, every time I visit Kalala I feel very welcomed and feel like a valued guest. This time the owner greeted us and told us more about his wines which was an extra treat. He was so kind and clearly very passionate about his work. This is a winery I will be loyal to and will definitely be recommending to others!

My fiancé and I visited Kalala Organic Winery yesterday for the first time. It was one of 12 West Kelowna wineries participating in the “Sip with your Sweetheart” self-guided wine tour event. The winery’s grounds and entrance may not be as welcoming or impressive as some of the other wineries we visited, however, what Kalala lacks in first impressions, it more than made up for in customer service and great wine. As soon as we arrived, we were immediately greeted by a friendly gentleman (presumably the owner). He offered to take a picture of us holding a Valentine’s Day themed prop – something no one at any of the other 11 wineries offered to do! We really appreciated this gesture. Kalala’s small tasting bar had a cozy, intimate feeling to it. It was situated in the same room as the wine-making equipment which was cool to see. Each of the different wines we sampled were delicious, as was the homemade chocolate they paired with it! We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Kalala and will most certainty come...
