Griffin Farms — Local services in West Kelowna

If I could rate it lower, I would. We came together as a family with a few children to pick cherries. The buckets were fine; the climb was long but bearable, but what really ruined the experience was the lady who ran the farm. She was incredibly rude, clearly suffering from lack of people skills. We had given a few of our children some cherries and when she saw, she more or less told us either we buy 25 pounds of cherries or we leave. When we tried to explain we weren’t trying to eat all her cherries, she repeatedly called us liars. We had already filled up three buckets a third of the way but we were forced to leave it with her. Went there the other week and was met by Carol Griffin - she was incredibly rude, inconsiderate, passive - aggressive, and everything a business owner should not be. We arrived during their business hours (roughly mid day) and she seemed incredibly unimpressed - for what I am not sure. We were very polite and understanding so I am not sure what the problem was. If there was a problem I would have apologized, but she didn't make it clear. I asked if we needed to book before coming and she had said no. However, the employees were absolutely wonderful, helpful, and welcoming. They were a ton of fun and really knowledgeable! This farm is a gem in the Kelowna area: I am so loving it. It is my first time visit this farm. The farm is very well kept and clean. The owners are very friendly. A young fellow greeted me while he is harvesting peaches. The Golden heaven peaches are huge, sweet and with lovely fragrance. The u pick area is in boutique size with quite a few varieties of fruit to pick from. Pricing is very great with the quality of peaches the Griffin grow. I would definitely come back...
