Nestled along the scenic shores of West Vancouver, Ambleside Park stands as a true gem in the Pacific Northwest. This expansive waterfront park offers breathtaking views of the Burrard Inlet, majestic mountains, and the iconic Lions Gate Bridge. Spanning over 24 hectares, Ambleside Park provides a haven for locals and visitors alike, offering a multitude of recreational activities and natural beauty to explore.

One of the park's main attractions is its beautiful sandy beach, stretching along the shoreline. During the warmer months, families and sunseekers flock to the beach to soak up the sun, build sandcastles, and take refreshing dips in the sparkling waters. Picnic areas and grassy fields adjacent to the beach provide ideal spots for relaxing and enjoying a picnic while taking in the stunning waterfront vistas.

Ambleside Park is also a haven for sports enthusiasts. The park features tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, and a soccer field, providing ample opportunities for friendly matches and organized sports activities. For those seeking more leisurely pursuits, the park offers a charming seaside promenade, perfect for leisurely strolls or bike rides along the waterfront.

Nature enthusiasts will delight in the park's lush green spaces and mature trees, providing a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. Trails wind through the park, offering opportunities for nature walks and birdwatching. The park is also home to a popular dog park, providing a safe and spacious area for four-legged friends to roam and socialize.

As a community gathering place, Ambleside Park hosts various events and festivals throughout the year, ranging from concerts to outdoor markets. It is a place where families come together to celebrate, where friends meet for outdoor activities, and where visitors can experience the true beauty of West Vancouver's natural landscape.

Whether you're seeking relaxation, recreation, or simply a moment of tranquility by the water's edge, Ambleside Park offers an idyllic setting that captivates all who visit. Why wouldn’t i give anything less than 5 stars to this side of west Vancouver. 😱 this place has little bit of everything. Lets begin; Courts to play games- Yes! First of all there are tennis courts, football court, hockey court n few more stretching out on all long road that leads to the entrance of the park. Park with greenery spread along the pedestrian pathway to walk n to cycle( two separated lanes ) - But let me tell ya , its not your regular park. In fact the whole edge of the beach has green pastures spread to small little gardens along the walking pathway. Its dog friendly. I would say regular dogs are buddies to each other n they enjoy beach too as i saw many of them in groups playing with each other. (Another adorable sight apart from the horizon of ocean) Residential property along with shops to eat or to purchase beachside munchies- many different places to grab a bite are walking distance here. Nice restaurants like carmelo restaurante , chef michel are pretty close by too. Very busy whole time but especially summers. Washrooms and beach side shop to purchase food are on the beach stretch which is gravel going down n then gets sandy along the water waves. Bring your food, get a chair or spread a mat n just enjoy the sun. Maybe plan a beach workout or making sand castles and just come , visit here yelpers n non yelpers. Yes u can play beach volleyball at non-...

Ambleside in West Vancouver is a hidden gem that combines stunning natural beauty with a vibrant community spirit. Having recently explored this charming neighborhood, I was captivated by its picturesque setting, diverse recreational opportunities, and welcoming atmosphere. Here's my review of Ambleside West Vancouver.

The first thing that strikes you about Ambleside is its breathtaking location along the shores of the Burrard Inlet. The neighborhood offers panoramic views of the ocean, the North Shore Mountains, and the iconic Lions Gate Bridge. Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll along the waterfront or enjoying a picnic in the park, the scenic vistas are truly awe-inspiring. The well-maintained parks and green spaces, such as Ambleside Park and John Lawson Park, provide ample opportunities for relaxation, outdoor activities, and family gatherings.

Ambleside's proximity to nature is a major draw for outdoor enthusiasts. The extensive network of walking and cycling paths allows visitors to explore the area at their own pace, while breathing in the fresh coastal air. The nearby Capilano River Regional Park and Lighthouse Park offer more challenging hikes and rewarding views. Additionally, water activities like kayaking and paddleboarding are popular along the waterfront, providing a unique perspective of...

Ambleside Park, including the spectacular Beach, is located at the foot of 13th Street at Argyle Avenue. World-class green playing fields for Soccer & Field Hockey, as well as Baseball diamond and Pitch-and-Put Golf Course overlooking a large bucolic duck-pond so enjoyable in Spring & Summer. Ambleside also boasts a Basketball court & landacaped Skate Park, cafe & concession, and it marks the beginning of the approximately 2-mile Centennial Sea Walk along the densely scenic West Van harbour-front to Dundarave Pier. Also a venue of major community festivals, including Harmony Arts (August), Coho Salmon (late September), and the Persian Nooroz (New Year's) Celebration at the Spring Equinox, Ambleside Park is not to be missed especially during Spring and Summer visits to the Northshore.
