I had a very bad experience with Treetop Trekking Stouville today . I spent $150 on two aerial courses (my son and his friend) and one discovery course (my daughter). When my daughter finished her course, she had broken skin on her left hand, and complained about the pain. I cleaned her hand with my bottled water, and asked for a bandage from staff. The staff there asked me what it was for. I told her that my daughter has a cut in her hand and needs a bandage. She told me I can get one when we get home, because if she gives me one, they need to do lots of paper work, like two pages. So I went to the office/ check in area, and complained to the manager. The manager said I could get one from the staff at the discovery course area and thought I was too loud when complaining. I told her my request for ONE bandage got declined at the young kids area. That is WHY I had to go to the check in area for help. There were lots of parents with kids at the check in area, so I guess they didn't want other parents to hear me complain. Then someone helped my daughter with the bandage. The manager gave me their incident report and told me to fill out. I thought the staff was supposed to fill it out, which the reason why the staff didn't want to give me a bandage in the first place. Although the manager said she would speak to the discovery course staff about the incident; however, nobody cared to apologize to us and the way manager dealt with it made I feel is to give me a bandage and silence me. So parents with little ones, please make sure that you bring your own first aid kit with you as they may not give a bandage when you need it because they dont want to go through the trouble of doing paper work. I was thinking of buying season passes for my children next year as my daughter can try big courses. Unfortunately due to today's experience, I have changed my mind, because they make me feel that they don't truly care for the customers. I was so...
Read moreWe went with family on March 12 to the Maple Syrup festival. A huge disappointment, we will never come back! We went in to cars. When we got to the entrance gate our daughter was in front of us and paid for both cars...we didn't know she was going to do that. However she told the two guys at the gate that she was paying for the car behind her...when we got to the window one of the guys told us that it was $20.50, for a senior and a general admission. I had $20 in my hands thinking that was more than enough...I started looking for the .50 cents when my daughter sent us a message telling us that she had already paid for us...we told the guy that info, and just casually he said "oh ok". He knew that somebody had paid for us and he was willing the take our money...it was more like he was willing to steal our money...not nice at all!!! Inside the park we had to pay for everything...a less than 5 minutes wagon ride was $2 per person...way too expensive for something that lasted so little. We had to pay for the tree trekking...anything you wanted to do we had to pay for! A very rude lady doing the animal balloons, I don't think she wanted to be there...at least it seemed that way. The kids had fun because they didn't have to pay for anything, but we were very disappointed with the whole thing. We are never coming...
Read moreWow, this is a must visit place for both TreeWalk Village and Hike!!
Experienced the awesome TreeWalk Village:- A lot of adventurous treetop activities like walking over the ropeways with varying widths keeping it quite a challenge for little ones. Adding to that comes tough enough for their age is the rock like wall walking. Log walking a also fun. Walking through Hide n seek type small pipes house is enjoyable for kids. Walking over the wooden logs hanging keeping it litte adventurous for small aged kids adding to fun. My 5 years old son and his kindie friend just loved the place - was safe enough for them to even go by themselves after trying initial walks with parents. Value for money- 20$/kid. One adult has to accompany 6 kids is must - 8$/adult.
Hiking at Bruce Mills - amazingly beautiful boardwalks, intermittent water streams, dense forest, safe hiking trails - the best is the Red trail, giving ever lasting experience of polution free, country side forest walk. Quite safe for small kids to walk with parents. Spring time hike was the better than summer one as mosquitos or insects start coming in summer at this hike. However, in summar, boardwalk during first half of red trail was an amazing one.
Very close to city up in north east of Toronto this place gives enough...
