Whitehorse Nordic Centre — Attraction in Whitehorse

This place is great! I signed up for Classic Ski beginner. The spots filled up quick but registration was easy. The gear they rent out are good quality and clean. The classes are are very affordable. My class was $100 for three 1.5 hour lessons.

Can't recommend my instructor, JEANNE BURKE enough. She is great with adult beginners - thorough instruction in a controlled and safe environment. She is able to explain skiing techniques and biomechanics to adult learners in a creative and amusing way. She uses props like balls, tubes, and cones. She's great and I highly recommend asking for her.

The trails are well-maintained but I haven't tried much. But my experience has been top-notch so far - from the staff, registration, communication, rentals...this...

Mt Mac - We love these groomed trails. We wish there were more physical paper maps at the lower parking lot instead of trying to decipher the maps on our small phone screen. Also we'd like to have more maps on the trails if there are not paper maps available on site below. However the location is great. If you can't find paper maps, the ski lodge above the lower parking lots has some, as they have wax and suggestions for waxing. I wish I had the strength to skate ski UPHILL!
