Really nice trail! The north half is a mix of forest floor, rock, stairs, boardwalk… not at all bikeable. Good for hiking. The southern half (from the Legislative Building to the hospital) is paved and can be easily enjoyed by bike. The lake is nice to look at but don’t go in, there was a sign that there are high arsenic levels...

This is definitely a must. Along the trail we found excellent views of Yellowknife, the Legislative Building and Frame Lake. With a connecting trail near Jackfish Lake there is a way to make it to Fred Henne Territorial Park. Apparently there are bears on the trail and we needed mosquito nets as the...

This is a lovely hike and we LOVED it! A good 1/3-1/2 of it is walkable pathways, but then definitely recommend hiking boots or crampons for the south and southwest sections. Took about 1.5-2h (when stopping for ++photos)- lots of stuff to see along the way!
