We live in Chiang Mai but never really gone to San Kamphaeng area much. We had just decided to check out Chamcha market last Sunday and we love this place. We usually go to Jing Jai market in the city on Sunday morning because it’s closer to our house and we love the atmosphere at JJ market as much as the stuff people sell there.

Chamcha market also has its charm and the handicrafts and clothes from certain shops on the street seem to be in better quality and grade than the ones at JJ market and the prices of clothes from those permanent stores on the street are also higher here at Chamcha market. Some of the things sold inside the area designated for small stalls are reasonable.

Sunday is a usually a lean day here, so if you’re not keen on bumping into people whole strolling around, Sunday is a good day to visit this market compared to Saturday.

Most of the stores here are quite interesting and different. You would enjoy walking around here if you like handicrafts. There are a few coffee shops and places to eat around there. At the end of the road, there’s Meena, a Thai restaurant which serve authentic Thai food with lovely presentation.

We were told to try Iced-Mocha Mint coffee from one of the coffee shop at next to Thong Dee shop, it was good!

Definitely recommend this arts and crafts market if you’re planning to do something in San Kamphaeng area as well....

🛍️ Cham cha Market – quiet, beautiful, and perfect for a slow wander

Cham cha Market is laid out in a long, straight path, just like the map shows. You simply walk in, stroll all the way down, and slowly make your way back — it’s the perfect market loop.

From the entrance, you can already feel how pretty this place is. It’s a total photo spot dream, with cute corners and intentional photo zones scattered throughout.

Even if you don’t buy anything, just soaking in the atmosphere and design of Cham cha (and other Chiang Mai markets like Jing Jai and Coconut Market) is more than worth it.

Out of all the markets I visited in chiang mai — Coconut Market, Jing Jai, Cham cha, Baan Kang Wat, and the Sunday Market — This one was easily the most beautiful 💐

Bonus: it was also the most peaceful. As someone who gets drained quickly in crowded places, this market felt calm, breezy, and truly enjoyable. Every corner made me want to stop and take a picture. This place is an...

I am looking for coffee around my place on Sunday and I found this unique market on the map!! This is the village that people built they own house becomes a tourist place, if you visit here on Saturday and Sunday you will find unique market name is “Cham Cha Market”.

This place has promoted local products such as local shirts, plants, and art-works.

There is many restaurants and coffee cafés located in the market, they have their own coffee signature. Don’t worry about toilet no charging, nice music not to loud.

Rare foods also available here, especially local northern foods. You can walk-In there is no charging for entry and don’t forget to bring Cash because most of them are villagers.

So, if you need to feed your family I would recommend here to be...
