The Chattogram Zoo, also known as the Zoological Garden of Chattogram, is a popular wildlife park located in the heart of Chattogram (Chittagong), Bangladesh. Chattogram zoo was built in 1989. With an area of 6 acres of land it is located about three kilometers north-east of the city, alongside at the entrance of Foy's lake. The zoo started with 16 animals of 4 different species of with 16 species of four species. Initially there was 4 different species e.g. monkey, lion, deer and Hanuman and total number of animals was 16.
