Mucha historia!!! Se le llama Piedra del gato porque cuando fue construida la carretera austral hubo que detonar los cerros para abrir camino y los militares de la fuerza laboral del ejercito que estuvieron trabajando en la construcción se descolgaban con lazos desde los altos en donde colocaban los explosivos que aun siguen colgando del cerro. En esos trabajos fallecieron muchos militares y civiles y el ejercito en cada parte que falleció uno de la fuerza laboral dejó cruces en el camino por cada fallecido.
