MÁGICO Y MÍSTICO !!!

nos encantó

y nos fascinó !

orongo y su mítica ciudadela

donde residía el poder político y sacerdotal

y los distintos clanes familiares q habitaban la isla

con vistas panorámicas al mar y al islote donde se celebra la histórica y tradicional festividad y competencia del hombre pájaro !!!

de lo + interesante !!!

y si bien no hay mucho para ver desde la arquitectura (o sea construído) es impactante x su paisaje matural y marítimo

aquí se filmó gran parte de la película "rapa nui" (hollywood 1994) de kevin kostner

hay muchos senderos x donde ir pero está señalizado el recorrido y hay q seguir un sentido determinado

fuimos x la mañana como 1er parada de un full day tour (el 2do q hacíamos) pero no lo habian abierto xq el día anterior había diluviado y los senderos estaban muy embarrados

pero sí lo hicieron x la tarde

y x suerte nuestra guia rapanui (mahana teave) nos llevó al final del tour xq dijo q lo había prometido y q un rapanui cumple su palabra

A fantastic place where you get to see the dwellings where the famous Birdman of Rapa Nui contestants used to live waiting for the competition to start to swim out to the islets over a km out to sea. And they have a nice little visitor centre that gives lots of information and history about the Birdman...

This is the visitor center of Orongo. You will first have to present your ticket here. There is a small museum with a few panels packed with information. Do not miss it, the panels are well designed and will help you understand both the site but the culture of Rapa Nui as a whole. Highly...
