Nice place. We did the free tour on a Saturday afternoon (it starts at 12:00pm) and lasts for about an hour and a half. The guide speaks only Spanish but was very kind and explained that the "National Coliseum" served as a prison during the dictatorship in the 70s. Many historical information and pictures. We did get in the stadium where there is a gate which has been kept intact since the time of the prison camps. Finally we watched a game (Universidad de Chile x Cobresal) which worth a lot (U$18,00 for 2 tickets). It's a full Chilean experience. Read moreFor a pay--to-enter park, I expected more, way more. We visited it on a Friday and almost everything inside (rental boat station, educational labs, mini train, etc) was closed. Also, there was no potable water inside the park, just a paid "refill station" at the entrance, and the bathrooms were also paid (in addition to the entrance fee), and nothing exceptional (minimally clean, and the one at the entrance lacked toilet paper). It's large: 500.000 sqm, has a lot of shadow. It has: barbeque zone, playgrounds and birthday area, pony rides, bycycle route, a pond, cafeteria. Ideal for kids and families, also for friends.
