We were lucky and got a winetasting as a couple privately with montgras vinery even though we booked a regular tasting.

Fernanda did a great job. She showed and explained to us the wine making process in detail from the different grapes to the different kinds of barrel etc. She was super knowledgable about different tastes, the wines themselves, the history of winemaking in chile and loads more. We lernt a lot and had a great time. Her english was super good aswell.

Getting to the vinery from santa cruz by uber worked super well and the property is really beautiful.

I can only recommend the experience to everyone. We tasted three wines and they were all excellent. We got to know so much about them that it feels like it would have been too much to taste more wines. Se arrived about 45 min before the tasting and were able to see a small wine museum in the building and enjoy the beautiful view while waiting. I d definitly recommend arriving a bit sooner to get the most out of the experience.

Thanks Montgras for...

Great experience and great wine! Make sure to call ahead to make a reservation. The grounds are wonderful and expansive with nice views of the surrounding mountains. The tour goes through the wine groves and you get to see the different varieties up close, really cool! Back inside you get to see the the different steps of the process and even sampled a couple wines straight out of the tanks before they went to the bottle or barrel. For the tasting we had 3 different wines with a small food pairing for each wine on a beautiful outdoor patio next to a fountain. For me it's a bit on the expensive side at 15,000 pesos, especially in comparison to what you get in Mendoza, but it's typical for the nicer wineries in the Colchagua region. Overall I...

I had the most incredible tour and tasting with Marcelo at MontGras in Santa Cruz. He was passionate beyond belief and it is clear he truly loves what he does. We started with a walk through the vines, where he took me through each grape varietal, quizzing me along the way and keeping me completely engaged. Then we toured the production area and cellar before finishing with a tasting.

Marcelo was kind, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience both educational and fun. I learnt so much and left with an even stronger appreciation for Chilean wine. By far the best winery tour I’ve ever engaged in. I would recommend MontGras and Marcelo to anyone visiting Santa...

We had the best wine tour of the region with Fernanda! She is dynamic and translated the tour in both Spanish and English, accommodating our entire group. I was impressed on all levels, the quality of the information provided, interaction in the vineyard, wine selection, and food pairing. Super informative, yet fun for those people who don’t know much about wine. I’m not a big Chardonnay fan, but the Amaral from Valle de Ledya was surprisingly bright, crisp with great acid! Another favorite of the day was the Cinsault! Really enjoyed the energy of Marcelo in the wine shop too! Excellent recommendations and assistance with a smile! A top place to visit in Santa Cruz.

We last minute booked a tour here due to being one of the only places you didn't need to do reservations super far in advance. We were so happy with our experience! The tour given in English was entertaining and educational. I learned so much about not just the wine produced at the vineyard itself but the wine produced in the area and tons of trivia about wine grapes grown worldwide. The tour ended with a tasting of 3 different wines. We were taught how to taste like a true expert and got to enjoy some great wines with great company. We were so pleased that we ended up doing the tour here! 10 stars for the English tour guide :)

I had a really nice visit with the guide Fernanda! It was almost the end of the harvest time and we had a little walk in the fields. I learnt really a lot about the leaves and the grapes, that I was able to try and spot the different nuances. I was really impressed by the technologie and monitoring of the grapes to produce the wine. The best part was of course the wine tasting. We could taste 3 different wines which I enjoyed a lot. The tour and informations are nicely presented! I found this place thanks to google maps and I can as all the other contributers recommande MontGras 🍷 thanks for the enjoyable time!
