My initial thought was a bored, indifferent, 'another mountain'...so what. Oh, no. WOW, Volcan Osorno turned out to be the high point of our whole Puerto Montt trip. I've seen Mt. St. Helens (pre & post), McKinley, Hamilton, Kilimanjaro, Victoria Falls, Niagra Falls, etc. As we drove up to the base area, each glimpse of the mountain was another 'wow' moment, just like each time the Grand Canyon revealed itself, you felt in awe, and compelled to take another dozen photos. Osorno's snow-capped peak stands in stark contrast to the dark hued rest of the base, conical, perfect, Majestic. RECOMMENDED...
