Santuario de la Naturaleza Serranía El Ciprés — Attraction in San Felipe

Wonderful hidden gem near San Felipe. It's a 1000ha reserve bought and mantened by the local farmer community.

Perfect spot for couple of days of quiet camping and hiking, there are different trails and routes to follow to explore the area.

We felt super welcome and spend two magnificent days hiking around and camping with spectacular views all for ourselves.

Entry is 2000clp per person, call or WhatsApp the number that you find at the entry gate for the payment and especially to let them know that you are entering the reserve. You'll find a second gate on your way, if you are going just for a hike you can park there otherwise take the track on your right to find camping spots or to get near the beginning of the trails.

Would say that is not the ideal place for motorhome or big rig, best for smaller vehicle with good tires.

Es un luhar muy bueno para realizar caminatas en la naturaleza muy largas o no tan largas. Sin embargo, se necesita mucho tiempo para recorrer el santuario completo. El bosque esclerofilo que ahí existe es un reservorio de biodiversidad de flora y fauna. Hace poco se encontró una especie de arbusto que solamente está en este santuario y no existe en ninguna otra parte del mundo. Además, en este santuario existen los cipreses de la cordillera más longevos del mundo, aproximándose mucho a los mil quinientos años. Este santuario es sin dudas un lugar que hay que conservar. Y sobre todo, proteger del mal que las personas puedan hacerle, como lo fue el incendio que ocurrió el cual quemó gran parte del bosque esclerofilo y algunos...

Una muy linda experiencia pero encontré que el parque está muy abandonado y poco valorado en nuestra zona, en portería no hay nadie que reciba e indique la ruta o cobre entrada. Es hermoso y del valle. Debería ser igual o más visitado y sacarle el mismo provecho que el Parque Nacional la campana. Ya que tiene más altitud y tiene una hermosa vista...
